Feeling the three kinds of sensations, pleasant, unpleasant, and neutral, is feeling. Attachment to the pleasant feeling is craving. From that, taking objects as real is grasping. From that, actions and afflictions increase, projecting into the next life is existence. From that, being born into different realms is birth. From that, experiencing the stages of childhood and youth, and then aging and dying, is old age and death. In this way, from the initial delusion until not liberated into the basic realm, continuously revolving in the six realms like a wheel, is called samsara. Its nature is: Like this, the six realms and four modes of birth, from the time when the unreal appearance of illusion manifests, for the first time, the empty form that has never existed, the six discriminating consciousnesses arise, and the six aggregates manifest. The bondage of clinging to conceptual thoughts as self is extremely powerful, the nature of mind is like the realm of space, this absence of inherent existence is also extremely binding, clinging to the existence of self, like a wheel of fire. Even so, although the ground and path lack awareness, the potential of the ground stirs into appearance, the aspect of not recognizing one's own nature, in the state of revolving in samsara, the alaya becomes neutral, from which arise six kinds of ignorance. Its aspect of awareness, the nature of clarity, does not focus on objects, from which the way the six discriminating consciousnesses arise naturally manifests. Ignorance is like this: the fundamental ignorance of mind, the ignorance of the deluded object, the ignorance of the deluded ground, the ignorance of clinging thought, the ignorance of fabricated path, the ignorance of unknowing delusion. Thus, six kinds of ignorance arise, and one cannot see one's own appearances. Again, it is like this: the fundamental ignorance of mind is the co-emergent reality, not recognizing the original wisdom of awareness and being deluded, thinking: Does the appearance of wisdom arise from me? Is this not my appearance? Such a thought arises, the arising of thought is the co-emergent fundamental ignorance, because the mind clinging to self arises and is deluded. Then the appearance of awareness and wisdom is obscured. This is called the fundamental ignorance of mind. Now explaining the ignorance of the deluded object: By what is delusion deluded? The object is when the world had not yet formed, a tree called the wish-fulfilling tree grew, a tree that arose from the blessing of the youthful Buddha's vase body, and that which arose from an egg.

From moisture and humidity, something is born. From that, the mind called "self-arisen wisdom" moves, and the uncreated world is formed. This is the ignorance of the realm of illusion. This is a symbol, that is, the vessel world and the sentient world appear, contained by the sudden illusory mind. Among them, the vessel world is the form realm produced by the strong memory of sentient beings, the formless realm produced by the increase of memory, and the desire realm produced by clinging to memory, which is likened to a wish-fulfilling tree. The sentient world is the alaya consciousness that obscures awareness, which does not think anything like an egg, and from which arise the three: object, sense consciousness, and feeling, which are represented by the symbol of egg and moisture, that is, the union of sun and moon. The realm contained by the inner mind is divided into two: the vessel realm that gathers sentient beings, and the realm that arises from the nature of mind itself. The vessel realm is the form realm produced by the strong memory of sentient beings, the formless realm produced by the increase of memory, and the desire realm produced by clinging to memory. These are explained in the above ways. The fundamental ignorance of the basis of delusion is: the basis of delusion arises from its own impurity. First, the real ignorance called "the cause of the cause" arises, that is, the ignorance of not knowing the basis. From this arises the ignorance of the realm of illusion called "the object of the cause." From this arises the clinging to "I" on trees, called "the lord of the cause." From this arises "the immediate cause," that is, consciousness becomes coarse and clings to what is grasped. From this, afflictions become coarse. This is the fundamental ignorance of the basis of delusion. The ignorance of clinging to discrimination is: from this arise countless aggregates of afflictions. Specifically, six kinds of clinging minds arise: the mind corresponding to ignorance, the mind of the differentiated consciousness of mind, the mind of determination, the mind of universal seeking, the coarse mind, and the definite mind. Specifically, the mind that corresponds to and possesses ignorance is: its root is real awareness, and it is accompanied by the activity of mind. This is the mind that corresponds to and possesses ignorance. The differentiated consciousness of mind is grasped by the consciousness that thinks "this is mine," therefore clinging to "I" and "mine,"
