Precious one! Such are the qualities of appearances, The gate of self-entry into impure samsara, Onto the gate of purity by its very nature, It dissolves in a manner of having nowhere to go. For example, like the colored threads of a monkey, Gathering themselves in the center by being coiled, The sphere of activity of the senses is nirvana. This itself is the precious quality. Thus, the qualities are completely perfected, The gate of pure wisdom itself, By self-dissolving into its very nature, Body and wisdom are nirvana. For example, like a lion seizing a snowy mountain, It finds irreversible, fearless confidence. This too is a precious quality. Thus, The manner in which qualities arise, Is the wisdom that abides in oneness. Without searching, it is found by itself, From the beginning, that is its very nature. So it is said. In general, if one does not know the way the ground abides, one does not understand the tenets of Dzogchen. Its key lies in the three spontaneities of Lhündrub, so its manner is a very difficult place to understand, so even when this teaching was very widespread in the past, if the tenets were not fully understood, then now the Dzogchen teaching would only be an image, let alone what needs to be said. Therefore, what is stated here is also known from the Dharma wheel of Kuntuzangpo's direct experience, that is, in the supreme precious vehicle. This manner is the difficult point of the Secret Essence Heart Drop. Although it is clearly stated in the tantras and instructions, in Tibet in the past, there has never been anyone who could awaken it. Therefore, I have very clearly analyzed and shown it, so in the future, if anyone understands this key point, they should know it is due to the power of this text. So it is said. Now, the way in which Kuntuzangpo is liberated from that ground: At that time, in the instant of seeing the ground appearance, the first Buddha, Kuntuzangpo, that appearance did not spread into confusion, in its own appearance, with awareness surpassing the ground that was not prophesied. The wisdom of the ground itself ripening into fruit, in one instant, it greatly distinguishes. On top of distinguishing, wisdom itself also ripens into form, not relying on other-born conditions, it abides in its own place. In the nature of the ocean of body and wisdom, in an instant, it manifestly becomes enlightened. In that, from the initial realm of reality, the inner radiance of spontaneous accomplishment radiates outward, and the compassionate awareness begins to revert to the rain of ignorance. Just from the fact that the nature of awareness, Kuntuzangpo, knows that self-appearance is without self-nature, therefore the stream of conceptual thought has ceased, and the ground appearance is spont

The arising of illusion is cut off, and spontaneously returns to the essence of non-self-existence. It dissolves into the primordial purity that will not be mistaken in the future, and is enlightened as the first teacher before all Buddhas. As it is said in the Root Tantra of the Sound Exhortation: 'Thus, from the beginning and end of samsara and nirvana, the Buddha has not been deluded. By the power that transcends the ground, one knows that self-appearance is without self-nature. Discursive thoughts do not go astray, and movement is self-determined.' Also, as it is said in the Wheel of Bliss Tantra: 'From a mere moment, awareness arises, and clearly illuminates, free from exaggeration and denigration.' Some people misunderstand the phrase 'The place of liberation is the beginning' and think that liberation can be achieved in the original ground itself, which is a great mistake. If one is liberated on the ground where illusion can arise, then there is no way to measure the aspects of abandonment and realization, so one will still fall into illusion. The meaning of the word 'ground' is based on the fact that both samsara and nirvana can arise, so it does not move from its own place. Therefore, the so-called place of liberation is the beginning means that the awareness that transcends the ground abandons all aspects of non-indication. In the qualities of the sphere to be realized, it distinguishes in an instant and attains the state of perfect enlightenment, and there is no other meaning. As it is also said in the Magical Net of Manjushri: 'In an instant, make a distinction, in an instant, attain perfect enlightenment.' So it is clear. Therefore, in this case, the Buddha of the fruition is established manifestly by measuring the meaning of self-abiding awareness without bondage and liberation, without gathering the vast collection of words and phrases of knowledge and knowable phenomena such as the non-learning union. Therefore, the Samantabhadra Buddha who attained enlightenment from the initial ground is also the ground. The six kinds of ignorance of knowledge are destroyed by the truth of the six dharmas and attain enlightenment. As it is said in the Tantra of the Intentional Utterance: 'At that time, the power of the six dharmas of Samantabhadra destroys the six ignorances of the ground consciousness. In an instant, the mind is emptied, and the awareness arises and the awareness diminishes and perishes. Clearly illuminating, the darkness is gone and cleared. Arising suddenly, there is no dimness. Free from exaggeration and denigration, ignorance is eliminated. Unchanging, like the sky. Vajrasattva, listen! Illusion and ignorance are destroyed in reverse, and the unindicated nature is self-destroyed and emptied. The object and the subject are united and meet with the ground.'
