Should not be violated. Those who do not abandon the lineage lord, the lama, etc. Likewise, the twenty-five vows of the Wheel of Time. Among them, in the Kalachakra, it says, the five roots of training, the five near sins, the five killings, the five miserliness, and the five desires, thus, in the meaning of teaching the twenty vows of abandoning the five sets of five. First, abandoning the five sins: harming the life of even tiny sentient beings, what need is there to mention harming life for a price? Always with a mind of torment, speaking lies with a deceptive mind, stealing possessions owned even by animals, engaging in sexual misconduct out of desire, and becoming intoxicated with alcoholic beverages, the source of all ruin, these five are like a vajra chain binding one to the place of samsara. They destroy all accumulations of virtue of oneself and others, therefore, those together with their concordant parts should also be abandoned. If one cannot protect these five, then the remaining vows should not be given either, therefore, they are called the five roots of training. Second, the five near sins are: gambling with dice, many eyes, etc., impure foods such as meat killed for consumption and price, disorderly sequences such as talk of war and trade, pleasing the spirits with ancestor worship and animal sacrifices for the sick, not eating anything other than one's own killed meat, and relying only on white clothes and crow's drink, etc., having the behavior of asuras, practicing the religions of outsiders, these five are near sins, therefore, they should be abandoned. Third, the five killings are: killing cattle with the aim of sacrifice desiring heaven, killing children to worship the mother goddess, killing men for men, killing women for women, these are the two human sacrifices. Killing the guru of gods and men, so-called killing, refers to destroying the body images of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, scriptures, and stupas, etc., establishing it with the name of killing. These are said to be the outsider sects who speak of harm as dharma, those who think that even sinful actions can become virtuous at times, therefore, they are separated from the beginning of the five sins, and spoken of for the meaning of contradicting them. Therefore,

Slaughtering cattle and sheep under the pretext of offering supreme objects is like learning to be similar in behavior to those who do not understand the tenets of heretics. Fourth, the five angers are: generating anger and annoyance towards the five objects of virtuous friends, elders, Buddhas, Sangha, Lamas, and Khenpo Acharyas. These four sets of five things should be eliminated from the mind and avoided through behavior. Fifth, the five attachments are: as stated in all the Mahayana sutras, from "the feeling produced by the contact of the eye faculty" to what is said about the "body faculty," it illustrates the interdependent relationship between the root consciousnesses. Because of attachment and clinging to the five objects, it will eventually become a karma that can trigger reincarnation, so these must be eliminated. The method of elimination is to purify the root objects and tactile sensations, etc., into the deity's body through the generation stage; through the completion stage, with the wisdom of distinguishing each, cut off the continuous attachment of the five faculties to the five objects. The Ratnakuta Sutra says: "Light-protecting boy, in the future, there will be monks who generate arrogance, like dogs chasing stones." Light-protecting boy asked: "Light-protecting boy, how is it like a dog chasing stones?" The answer is: "The dog chases the stone because it is afraid of the stone itself, not the person who throws the stone." Light-protecting boy, some monks and Brahmins are devoted to separately observing form, sound, smell, taste, and touch, but although they recognize that they are impermanent, illusory, and destructive, they do not know where they come from. Therefore, even if they go to villages, cities, towns, regions, places, and the palaces of kings, they will still be harmed by form, sound, smell, taste, and touch." Then it says: "Light-protecting boy, in the future, some Bhikshu Yogacharas will be different from dogs chasing stones. For example, if a stone is thrown at a lion, the lion will know where the stone came from, so it will not chase the stone, but will chase the person who throws the stone, so that there will be no more stones in the future. Similarly, when a Bhikshu Yogachara sees external sensual pleasures, he will know that they arise from the mind, so he will observe the mind and find that things do not exist.
