I, according to the three stages of practice for channels and opening the body channels, the first is: Like a horse-faced Garuda devouring a sea of fire, the fire aggregates born from the A syllable, which possesses the nature of the sun, are completely devoured, hence it is called Tummo (fierce heat). It itself is in the central channel, like the life-tree stacked in six wheels, with the chariot of vital energy gradually drawn from the positions of each wheel, from the crown chakra manifesting the nature of the father who holds the rabbit (moon), the syllable ཧཾ་ (Tibetan, Devanagari: हं, Romanized Sanskrit: haṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) descends, and when contact is made, white bodhicitta descends, hence it is the central channel. Relax for a moment in the state of arising bliss. Then, the white bodhicitta from the Roma channel and the red bodhicitta from the Kyangma channel, both enter from the upper and lower ends of the central channel, and mix in the heart chakra, practicing the great bliss-emptiness union of A-VAM (ཨེ་ཝཾ་, Devanagari: एवं, Romanized Sanskrit: evaṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Evam). The second meaning is also that the way Tummo blazes is the same as before, except that the way of uniting A-VAM (ཨེ་ཝཾ་, Devanagari: एवं, Romanized Sanskrit: evaṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Evam) is practiced, focusing on a pea-sized lump in the heart chakra where the A syllable and the PAM (པཾ་, Devanagari: पं, Romanized Sanskrit: paṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Pam) from the crown chakra are mixed. This is mentioned in the Kalachakra: After the seven unions' seeds are perfected, the syllable KSHA (ཀྵ་, Devanagari: क्ष, Romanized Sanskrit: kṣa, Literal Chinese meaning: Ksha), which is the nature of manifestation, is mentioned as a seat, because all the seeds of union, the thirty vowel letters, are transformed into one nature of HAM (ཧཾ་, Devanagari: हं, Romanized Sanskrit: haṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) and placed. The syllable KSHA (ཀྵ་, Devanagari: क्ष, Romanized Sanskrit: kṣa, Literal Chinese meaning: Ksha) is mentioned to unite HAM (ཧཾ་, Devanagari: हं, Romanized Sanskrit: haṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) and KSHA (ཀྵ་, Devanagari: क्ष, Romanized Sanskrit: kṣa, Literal Chinese meaning: Ksha), so the unions become skillful means and wisdom, hence it is A-VAM (ཨེ་ཝཾ་, Devanagari: एवं, Romanized Sanskrit: evaṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Evam). If combined with the third, then those free from attachment unite the two wind elements simultaneously. In the navel chakra, in the form of fire-wind AI (ཨེའི་, Devanagari: ऐ, Romanized Sanskrit: ai, Literal Chinese meaning: Ai), the syllable HAM (ཧཾ་, Devanagari: हं, Romanized Sanskrit: haṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) dissolves, and the white bodhicitta of wind-mind, pervading the central channel and all the chakras, descends, and the red one ascends, the two mix in the heart chakra, relaxing in the state of the innate co-emergent wisdom appearing as free from elaboration. All three ultimately agree on abiding equally in the non-conceptual state of mind and mental factors being pacified. The self-result achieved by this method is the realization of Vipassana, the wisdom that transcends the experience of bliss-emptiness non-conceptuality, and it must be known as real and unreal, and as transcending meditation itself. The Guhyasamaja Tantra says: 'Non-meditation is the reality of meditation, meditation itself is not meditation, thus, because of real and unreal, meditation has no object.' So it is. This is also the general and specific location of the channels.

Because each chakra holds the wind, it holds the bindu. Because it holds the bindu, it holds and increases the unchanging bliss, thus making the wind and mind freely usable in each chakra. Because the winds of the twelve junctures are purified, one also obtains the merits of perfecting the four paths of accumulation, application, seeing, and meditation. Furthermore, making twenty-one knots of the ro-rkyang on the central channel, and untying two knots reveals each of the ten grounds; one should know that this is also the merit of each pure essence and each pure wind being absorbed into it. First, when wind and mind enter the nirmāṇakāya chakra, it becomes usable. Because one obtains the samādhi of the stream of dharma, the heat sign of the great stage of accumulation arises. When the wind abides there, the qualities of accomplishment manifest, and the first two knots at the top of the central channel and the root knot of the nirmāṇakāya chakra are released. Because one becomes accustomed to the union of luminosity and taste equality of the meaning of wind, the certainty of the absorption of wind is established. One sees the face of the nirmāṇakāya of the Buddha. Because one obtains mastery over the four supports of magical power, such as aspiration and so forth, the eye, clairvoyance, and subtle magical powers are accomplished. One obtains mastery over transformation. As the Ornament says: At that time, from the stream of dharma, in order to obtain the peace of the Buddhas and vast wisdom, one goes to all realms of the world. If divided, in the small stage of the path of accumulation, the four mindfulnesses are: contemplating the body as a deity, is body mindfulness. Transforming arising feelings into wisdom is feeling. Pacifying the elaboration of mind and mental events is mind. Knowing all phenomena of appearance and imputation as illusion is dharma mindfulness. As it says in the Noble Illusion Sutra: Blessing oneself is body mindfulness, that is, appearing as the nature of a deity, like a reflection. The state of great wisdom of universal awareness is, the nature of feeling, that is, great bliss. Completely overcoming the side of elaboration is, here, the mind is without object. Training in illusion in the nature of a reflection is the nature of dharmatā. And so forth. In the middle stage of the path of accumulation, the four correct abandonments are: abiding in the generation stage and completion stage, one does not newly generate non-virtuous dharmas that have not arisen. If they have arisen, then contemplate the deity of the generation stage.
