Even when asking various different questions, the characteristic is that it can answer with a single response that matches the respective dispositions, faculties, and levels of merit. In the chapter of the Truthful One, it says: "Here, when many sentient beings simultaneously ask definitive questions, having understood their minds in a single moment of thought, they are answered separately with a single voice." And from the Samadhiraja Sutra: "For the benefit of the world, from your one speech, sounds arise according to different inclinations, each thinking, 'The Victorious One has shown it to me.'" Thus, the reason for the definitive meaning is this: speech, sound, and words do not inherently exist, but rather, from the combination of the faith of those to be tamed, the blessings of the Buddha, and the timely gathering of conditions, it becomes clear to the consciousness of beings. From the Secret Inconceivable Sutra: "Shantimati, when the Bhagavan said, 'Kaundinya, the eye is impermanent,' those who were tamed by suffering heard, 'The eye is suffering.' Those who were tamed by selflessness heard, 'The eye is selfless.' Those who were tamed by emptiness heard, 'The eye is emptiness.' Those who were tamed by peace heard, 'The eye is peace.' Those who were tamed by solitude heard, 'The eye is solitude.' Those who were tamed by impermanence heard, 'The eye is impermanent.'" Therefore, to ultimately understand the definitive meaning, if the nature of the Buddha is the Dharmakaya, then one should not regard a single word and a single sound existing in letters as inherently existent. In the Ratnakuta Sutra, it says: "Shantimati, from the night I attained complete enlightenment until the night I passed into nirvana, I have not taught even a single word of Dharma." If one can understand the essence of this meaning, one's mental vision will expand towards the source and nature of the Dharma, like an ocean of the Buddha's words and treatises. As it says in the Uttaratantra: "Just as the sound of a lute, arising from the consciousness of another, is without conceptualization and without fabrication, so too is the speech of the Tathagata, arising from the consciousness of another, not abiding within or without." It is appropriate to understand its meaning.

What should be done? If so, in the Intermediate Mother Sutra, it says, "Alas! In Jambudvipa, the second turning of the wheel of Dharma will occur." And in the Seven Hundred Prajñaparamita Sutra, it says, "Having recited three times, the wheel of Dharma was turned in twelve aspects." If someone asks whether these are contradictory, it is not contradictory that for those with minds that enter gradually, the three wheels are said to be taught in sequence. For those with minds that enter all at once, it appears as if it is shown at the moment of the completion of the action. As it says in the Sutra of the Array of Qualities: "I have not spoken anything, yet all beings see the Pervasive Lord. Whenever they wish to manifest gradually, it is the same for all of them. For those who enter at the same time, the categories of Dharma appear complete. The greatness of speech is just like that of a wish-fulfilling tree that fulfills all desires." Although it may be so, in the Definitive Explanation of Intent, it says, "Having spoken of different Dharmas, it does not speak of different places and different times." If one fears that this will harm the sequential teaching, then those who mention different divisions even within the same category of Dharma are referring to teachings given without interruption by other times and circumstances. It is not stating that other categories of Dharma were not taught at other times and circumstances, so it is not shown in the ultimate sense, but in the conventional sense. There is no need to extend a double tongue, because the Definitive Explanation of Intent also prophesies: "Without conception and without confusion, in one pleasing Vajra speech, due to the power of the minds of those to be tamed, it transforms into many distinctions." Although it is so, in the common appearance, the speech of the Nirmanakaya of the Buddha is complete with sixty branches of qualities. If, in the Twenty Thousand Prajñaparamita Sutra, one follows after showing the meaning of secret and inconceivable things, then in order to show the proximity of the roots of virtue of sentient beings, the speech of the Buddha is gentle; in order to touch happiness in this life, it is soft; because the meaning is excellent, it is pleasing; because the letters are excellent, it is agreeable; because it arises from the unsurpassed state beyond the world, it is pure; because it is free from all the latent tendencies of afflictions, it is immaculate; because the words and letters are very famous, it is very clear; and the heretics'
