Please listen, venerable lamas and sangha: From a young age, we have had unwavering faith in the act of renunciation. As we grew older, we received the pure lineage of the three vows from over eighty Dharma-speaking spiritual friends, led by twenty-three supremely kind Yongdzin masters. We drank deeply and without satiety from the profound and vast nectar of teachings from the three pitakas and four tantras. After reflecting on these teachings, we based our actions on the short-sighted mind that thinks, "Death is uncertain," and "There's no need to say more." Regarding the Pratimoksha vows, I have avoided the four root downfalls and abstained from the five things, including unrestrained drinking. Regarding the Bodhisattva vows, I have abandoned the thought of harming others from the depths of my heart and cultivated only the thought of benefiting them. Regarding the Secret Mantra vows, I have abandoned even in dreams the wrong view of slandering the holy gurus from the depths of my heart, and I have strived to cultivate pure perception as much as possible. Therefore, the root of the three vows has not been tainted by faults, and the subtle branches are restrained through confession and taking vows. At no time do I listen to anyone's words, nor do I fall to either side of being close or hostile. Even if I have not benefited the Dharma and sentient beings, at least I have not caused great harm. Wherever I stay, I feel at ease and happy. These are the words of realization that I used to consider virtues. As for what will happen in the future, it depends on the compassion of the gurus and the Three Jewels, and I have no expectations or worries about anyone else. You should also know that this precious human rebirth with leisure and opportunity, which is difficult to obtain and of great benefit, is indeed rare. Death is uncertain, and at the time of death, only the Dharma can bring benefit. Therefore, without separating from the awareness of the uncertainty of death, be sure to protect and guard the root of the three vows mentioned above, even at the cost of your life. Since we have renounced the household life and become monks, we should strive to stay in monasteries. There is no benefit in wandering around cities. Conquering enemies, protecting relatives, managing household affairs, engaging in trade and agriculture, and clinging to slight acts of attachment, aversion, and desire, considering them supreme, is like mistaking dog feces for gold and cherishing it. Therefore, those with heart must contemplate deeply.

Do not be indulgent. Therefore, do not let this precious human life be wasted, becoming meaningless. Primarily, for your own benefit, strive to listen, contemplate, and meditate as much as possible. Examine the law of karma in detail. Generate renunciation from samsara. Generate compassion for sentient beings. Generate devotion to the lama. Strive to experience the view of non-duality of samsara and nirvana. Especially, on the premise of not violating the monastic rules and conduct, recognize that the good intention is the root of the path for all those who enter the Great Vehicle. Beyond that, there is no need for much more, because examining the ocean-like scriptures is sufficient, so here the essential points are condensed. Ah! Although I have no qualities, by the blessings of the venerable lamas, and with pure intention and good motivation, I pray to the supreme Sangha. I, a non-sectarian wandering monk, a homeless wanderer who roams everywhere, this is the last testament. Whether alive, there are only these words, and whether dead, this is the core will. Alas! The great upholders of the teachings have passed away to other pure lands, and the teachings of explanation and practice remain only in name. The happiness of beings vanishes like bees at the end of summer. Who would not feel sad in the face of such a sight? Therefore, in the remaining life, do not follow the appearances of this life, but remember death from the depths of your heart, and pray for the blessings of the lama and the Three Jewels. May we, teacher and students, through the power of the pure Dharma connection, meet again and again in this life, and may all intentions and actions in accordance with the Dharma be accomplished without obstacles, and may the auspiciousness of worldly and transcendent goodness increase! This was spoken by Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo, a wandering monk who had gained faith from the depths of his heart in the conduct of the prince bodhisattva, when he traveled from the land of Tibet to the pure land of the Sambhogakaya in U-Tsang (now Lhasa), whatever came to mind, may it benefit all beings! Sarva Da Mangalam! A few words on the Great Perfection, based on the three aspects of ground, path and fruit. Namo Guruwe. Whose nature, the collection of grasping and the grasped, the aggregates of elaboration, are all instantly liberated, simultaneously dissolving into the sphere of reality. The present awareness, the nature beyond thought and expression, the vajra of the clear light mind, please bless you. The Victorious Ones, according to the dispositions and inclinations of the beings to be tamed,
