Therefore, meditation and the object of meditation are not two. Without thinking of anything, whether existent or nonexistent, rest in a state of single-pointed focus. Thus it is said. The glorious Tilopa said: With the dharma of intellect, one does not see the meaning beyond intellect; with the dharma of action, one does not attain the unmade Buddha. If you wish to realize the meaning beyond intellect and unmade, cut off your own mind and rest naked awareness. Let the water of the defilement of thought become clear, phenomena should not be rejected or accepted, rest in their own state. Without abandoning or adopting, one is liberated in the Great Seal. Thus it is said. The great accomplished Naropa said: The various appearances, white and red, and the two inexpressible wisdoms, when known by consciousness, are in a state of oneness. Meditate on that union. Thus it is said. Lord Maitripa said: All that is outer and inner is co-emergent. Non-conceptual yoga is like the continuous flow of a river. That is not to be sought elsewhere than in the mind. Non-attention is the path of the Great Seal. Thus it is said. The noble Avalokiteshvara gave instructions to the great accomplished Mitra Joki, saying: Your own mind is unborn from the beginning, it is the cause of samsara and nirvana. It is not other, but from the center of your own heart, it is known from the mouth of the guru. Whatever is born is the innate nature, therefore, whatever arises, if you do not forget it with mindfulness, then that arising is the self-nature of emptiness, the king of yogis is not devoured by demons. Thus it is said. The great accomplished holy Buddha said: On the unmade, innate basis, on the mind, without wavering, abiding in its own nature, this arises without practice or abandonment, this is the instruction of Koṇapāda. Thus and so on. In the state of emptiness, with the spear of awareness circling, the view is unobstructed, Dingriwa. In the state of non-thought, release the activity of non-distraction, meditation is without sinking or agitation, Dingriwa. In the state of spontaneous arising, cultivate the power of unceasing, conduct is without acceptance or rejection, Dingriwa. Thus it is said. The wisdom dakini Niguma said: From the habituation and stability of non-meditation and non-distraction, at this time one travels the stages of the ground and path, without attention, the obscurations are purified in their own place, the fruit of the three bodies arises spontaneously accomplished. Thus it is said. The unequaled Jowo Dipamkara said: When realizing in a non-conceptual way, the term is established as seeing emptiness. But not seeing is seeing, it is proclaimed in the profound sutra. Thus it is said. Consciousness does not think of anything, nor does it grasp anything, abandoning all memory and attention, like
