修法的时候，将长寿物、森扎（藏文地名）和谢普（藏文地名）的长寿水、长寿成就白色宝瓶水等混合在一起的糌粑，加入浸泡过法达喀彻的净水，搓成小豆大小的丸药。涂上用朱砂和红粉混合的衣服。依靠修持断除一切障碍的上师报身莲花生无量寿佛五部丸药，以及幻化白长寿佛五部的修法来加持。口诀书中说：仅仅闻到丸药的味道，就能平息邪魔，增益寿命福德。如果具有誓言者依止，必定成就长寿自在持明。以及其他经典中也有广泛的阐述。 再者，从功德事业的殊胜之地森钦南扎（藏文地名）的上岩和下岩中，正如甚深伏藏目录中所说：第一圣物是嘎饶多吉的，大乐智慧甘露的法达。文殊友的智慧丸三颗，龙树心髓的龙药丸一颗，智慧的智慧药丸三颗，因巴提的珍宝丸四颗，转生七次的肉丸七串，大悲观音的嘛呢丸三颗，佛陀密意的金刚萨埵丸三颗，布达拉的种子和药物种类。如是所说，从以前完全不为人知的圣物中，迎请出无数种神奇的宝藏。其中，大悲观音嘛呢丸，是度化众生的圣者滴血六道轮回之物。观世音菩萨恒常作为主尊，在各大圣地生长的恒常三类，与白稞粉混合，用净水调和，加入浸泡过法达喀彻的水，搓成小豆大小的丸药。涂上朱砂的衣服。与新旧伏藏的大悲观音大法会相关联而加持。此丸药的利益，通常在娘藏度化众生的经典中说：听到六字真言的声音，就能切断堕入恶道的门。如果服用此丸药，就能长寿、延缓衰老、消除疾病邪魔。生生世世受到圣者观世音菩萨的摄受，一切恶业罪障得以清净，必定往生极乐世界。等等，广泛阐述，应当知晓。

Three wisdom pills of Manjushri Mitra, one Naga medicine pill of Nagarjuna's essence, three wisdom medicine pills of knowledge, four precious pills of Inbati, seven sets of pills of seven rebirths of flesh, three mani pills of great compassion, three Vajrasattva pills of the secret of the Buddhas, types of seeds and medicines from Potala." As it is said, from the previously completely unknown sacred substances, countless miraculous treasures were invited.
