Like this, he is still residing in Tashi Monastery. Regarding the detailed biography: The "Ocean of Wonders," a superb exposition composed by Sakya Jamyang Gon Kunga Lodro in 164, is available. Furthermore, it can be understood from his own two-volume record of teachings. Khenchen Kunga Khyentse Phuntsog of Gathang: In the vicinity of the venerable Gathang Monastery, a place where numerous holy beings have appeared in succession, he was born as the son of the learned scholar of letters Damcho Tenzin and mother Sonam Drolma in the Wood Sheep year, accompanied by wondrous omens. From a young age, the gate of his wisdom was wide open. As he grew a little older, he studied writing, reading, arithmetic, astrology, and so on. At Mindrolling, he studied poetics. At Drepung Samlo College, he mastered and became proficient in the ocean of terminology and logic, such as Chandravyakarana, from Gara Rampa. At the age of nineteen, he ascended the lion throne of Gathang Monastery. At the age of twenty, he received full ordination from Lochen Dharma Shri. With Khenchen Tenzin Phuntsog of Gathang and his heart-son Ngawang Jampel Tenzin as the main figures, he extensively studied and contemplated the teachings, mainly of the Sakya tradition, from numerous spiritual mentors, including the great treasure masters of Mindrolling and their relatives. He particularly devoted himself to practice, teaching, and propagation, especially the Lamdre (Path and Result) teachings. In particular, at Mindrolling, he offered the complete oral transmission of the Kangyur three times to Gyalse Rinchen Namgyal, Kalzang (Auspicious) Padma Wangchuk of Dorje Drak, and Lama Gedun of Ganden Rabgye, thereby greatly kindling the lamp of the teachings. His disciples included those mentioned earlier, as well as Ong Gyalse Rinpoche, Dalai Hutuktu, the elder and younger Zimphuk Tulkus, Kham Lama Padma Dargye, Lama Konchok Lhundrup, and many others throughout the three regions of U-Tsang-Kham. The detailed biography can be found in "The Garland of Waves of Auspicious Faith - A Creeper of Pearls," composed by Ganden Rabgye Ngawang Lobsang Wangchuk. Jetrung Rinpoche, Khenchen Ngawang Tenzin Phuntsog of Gathang: His father was Zursho Shabdrung Dechen Gonpo, and his mother was Kungga Drolma, a descendant of the great accomplished Chakzampa. He was born in the Earth Mouse year.

He was born on the thirteenth day of the tenth month of the Hor calendar in (a certain year). From a young age, he showed signs of a holy lineage. At the age of thirteen, he received the lay precept from Lhacham Tenzin Rinpoche Kunga Sonam Wangchuk. Later, he received the full ordination from the abbot Jamyang Drakpa. From the Great Fifth Dalai Lama, Khenchen Sonam Chodrup of Zhalu, Sakya Sonam Wangchuk and his sons, Khyenrap Jampa, Tertön Gyurme Dorje, Zhabdrung Pema Trinle, Lhacham Sonam Wangchuk, and others, he listened to and received the ocean-like teachings of the new and old traditions, mainly the Sakya lineage's oral instructions on Lamdre (Path and Fruit) and the Golden Dharma cycles. In particular, he fully received the transmission of the Kangyur (Words of the Buddha) from the great translator of Samye, Ngawang Rabten. He was extraordinarily diligent in his daily and constant meditative practices. At the age of forty-four, he became the abbot of Drathang Monastery, and from then on, he taught and propagated the oral instructions twice, the Golden Dharma, and the Great and Small Mahakala many times, and also composed some writings. Among his disciples were Khenchen of Zhalu, Sakya Kunga Tashi, Chögyal Terdak Lingpa, and others, who received various teachings according to their capacity. There were also many root and branch disciples such as Sakya Sonam Rinchen, Khenchen Ngawang Jampel Tenzin of Kyichu, and Khenchen Kunga Khyentse Phuntsok of Drathang. In particular, he fully bestowed the transmission of the Kangyur at Drathang Monastery, and Kunga Khyentse Phuntsok continued this tradition. Thanks to his kindness, the lineage of transmission has remained pure to this day. In short, at the age of sixty-seven, in the Wood Horse year (a certain year), on the fourth day of the auspicious month, until he entered into the great peace, he extensively benefited Buddhism and sentient beings. These events can be known from his own autobiography and the concluding part supplemented by Ngawang Khyentse Phuntsok, "The Enchanting Chariot of Faith." Dorje Chang Khyenrap Jampa Ngawang Lhundrup was from the lineage of the King of Light Gods, Gemtse. During the early propagation of Buddhism, there were translators Lhe Jnanasiddhi and Lhe Khyidruk, among others.
