To Chu Gompa, was given the spontaneous Heart Advice. To Mar Gom, were given the Three Decisive Points. To Nyak Lo, were given the instructions on 'Hevajra, the Sole Hero' (bDe mchog dpa' bo gcig pa'i gdams pa). To Lche Pal Dron, were given the Sixteen Dharma Classes of Accomplished Practitioners' Experiences. To Ngorje, was given Coemergent Union. To Abbot Drakjung, was given the instruction on the Heart Sutra. To Sherab Gyaltsen, was given the instruction on Kalachakra. To Shangpa Udé, was given the Four-Letter Practice. To Gyaton Kyi Tsek, was given Hevajra. To Zhang Sak Chungwa, was given the Secret Practice of Vajravarahi. To Lama Gondkarwa, was given Vajrapani. To Kyishö Bangungyal, was given the Whispered Lineage of Hevajra. To Labdrön, was given the instruction on Chö. To the later lineages, the name 'Great Seal, Immaculate Drop, Practice' was given. The Great Seal is from the direct disciple of the holy Maitripa, and thus is in accordance with the Tenth and others. Immaculate refers to all the sacred scriptures of the holy one. Practice is because there are key points of practice that are somewhat different from other teachings. In general, its essence is said to be Paramita, in accordance with Secret Mantra. Therefore, having the blessings of vowels and consonants (ཨཱ་ལི་,梵文:āli,梵文罗马转写:āli,字面意思:vowels; ཀཱ་ལི་,梵文:kāli,梵文罗马转写:kāli,字面意思:consonants) and so on is not contradictory, because it is similar to the explanation of the door of dharani of the forty-two letters in the Perfection of Wisdom Sutra. There are two types of Dharma cycles: common and uncommon. The first is: including Sutra and Tantra and practice, including the transmitted oral lineage, including the Immaculate Minute Drops, including the Silk Net Explanations Collection. The first is: the common Sutra is 'Manifestation of the River of Water', the special Sutra is the Heart Sutra, the common Tantra is 'Clarification of the Pitaka', the special Tantra is 'Great River of Water'. Practice includes the great and small empowerment wheels, and the three great and small stages of the path. The second is: the four transmitted oral lineages, and the four whispered lineages that awaken their paths. The third is: the Immaculate Minute Drops are six types, such as the root of the knot of the veins. The Minute Drops are what Patshab wrote about the discomfort of Kungama. The fourth is: the Silk Net is eight types, such as the nectar of oral instructions. These were recorded by Patshab from oral accounts. The Explanations Collection was composed by Tené, Zhikpo, Nyedowa, and others. The uncommon ones include the union of emptiness and tantra, including the empowerment path stages, the three secret treasuries, and the eight example collections. It is the essence of pacification.

The oral instructions for practicing the meaning of the three types of Chöds – small, medium, and large – called "The Gradual Path of Prajñāpāramitā," are the teachings of the six recipients. In the past, there were countless accomplished ones. Later, the Yab Chöding (Father Dharma Seat) and Gömo Chöding (Mother Dharma Seat), established by the noble Samten Pal, became very famous. The term "Chöd" means that the conventional Bodhicitta cuts off karma, and the ultimate Bodhicitta cuts off afflictions, and incidentally, it also cuts off the four Māras. Or, it is so-called because the princes practice on the path of skillful means and wisdom. This is also in accordance with Prajñāpāramitā and Mantra. The source of this teaching is the general Prajñāpāramitā and, in particular, the Abhisamayalankara. It says: "Endowed with four causes, a Bodhisattva is wise and powerful; difficult for the four Māras to overcome, and they cannot move him; abiding in emptiness and not abandoning all sentient beings; acting as he speaks and blessed by the Sugata." That is, abiding in emptiness, meditating on emptiness; not abandoning sentient beings, meditating on loving-kindness and compassion, which is conventional Bodhicitta. These two are the main practice of the peaceful Chöd. Acting as he speaks is the root of the path, relying on a spiritual friend. Blessed by the Sugata refers to refuge, bodhicitta, the seven-limb prayer, and mandalas, which are the preliminaries. Difficult for the four Māras to overcome is the ultimate measure of cutting. In accordance with Mantra, the Two Examinations Tantra says: "Under a single tree and in a charnel ground, or in the house of a Mamo and at night, or at a solitary boundary, it is said that meditation is excellent." It also says: "Having given the gift of the body, afterwards, practice the correct conduct." And it says: "Certainly, first there will be Asuras and those like Indra appearing, but one should not be afraid of them, one should proceed in the form of a lion." Therefore, it extensively explains where to practice, the path of how to cut, and the results, begging, and how they arise. From the Teacher, Mañjuśrī, Āryadeva, Dampa, Dampa gave this to Yarlung Smara Serpo, which is the Father Chöd. Kyotön Sönam Lama passed it on to Machik Labdrön, Machik Labdrön passed it on to twenty-one accomplished men and women, and eighteen accomplished daughters, etc. Ku Gam Chö Seng, one of the four famous disciples, widely propagated it, which is the Kama and the treasure teachings that arose from the Northern Treasures, etc. Jamyang (Mañjuśrī) to Lozang Drakpa (Tsongkhapa).
