For example, merely remembering this dharani mantra can purify the five inexpiable sins; and one will never fall into the lower realms; one will be born miraculously from a lotus in the blissful realm of Sukhavati; if one blows into a conch shell after reciting it seven times, all beings who hear the sound will be reborn in the heavens; by fumigating with sandalwood and the like, and merely wearing the clothes, all sins and obscurations will be exhausted, and so on.
