In a copper vessel without cracks or damage, fill it with various kinds of milk, such as goat, sheep, and yak milk. Mix these with clean water and fill the copper vessel, then add an appropriate amount of dragon medicine. Most importantly, there should be no musk impurity. Place the copper vessel upwards, and in the copper vessel, invite and dismiss all the earth lords, nagas, fierce gods, and the eight classes of gods and demons, and visualize them as appearing manifestly within it. In order to pacify all the diseases and sufferings of the nagas, earth lords, and the eight classes of gods and demons, recite about three hundred mantras into the water in the copper vessel, and visualize the eight classes of gods and demons covering it with clouds. Then, scatter the water in the four directions. By doing this, there will be no doubt about whether or not hail can be prevented. A profound instruction from the activity section of the Great Dakini, Lion-Faced One, called "Preventing Hail and Averting Famine," Ah! Homage to the blessed Dakini. Another method is to gather water from north-facing springs, and in a stainless copper vessel, mix the three white medicines for nagas and the three essences. Fill it with water from the springs. Place it on three stones, and burn a large amount of juniper and rhododendron incense. At the end of the root mantra for the water, recite, "Gather clouds, gather clouds, move clouds, move clouds. May a yellow, cold wind blow from the east, bringing heat!" Recite this about three million times. It is crucial to scatter the water before dawn. The place to perform the ritual is on a high mountain. It is said that this will definitely prevent hail, so strive to accomplish it with bodhicitta. A profound instruction from the activity section of the Great Dakini, Lion-Faced One, called "Preventing Hail and Establishing Well-being for All Beings," Ah! Homage to the blessed Dakini. Because the malevolent Eight Classes of beings send hail to harm crops, here are the types of hail: Stealth hail, the hail of theurang (a type of demon). Produced by Khyabjuk Rahula (Pervading Rahu). Grain hail, iron peas, comes from the hands of the black Tsen and the death god Yama. Khyabjuk Rahula leads. Karma hail, black, comes from the hands of both nagas and demons. Urging hail, produced by Khyabjuk Rahula. The instruction for protecting against these three types of hail is: First, gather the substances, and then perform the Kalachakra practice. For the substances: collect the blood brought by hail, or burn twenty-nine human corpses, or burn the ashes of the sun, mustard king, and three types of sand (fine sand, coarse sand, and dust). Recite mantras and seal them. This is the gathering of substances. The Kalachakra practice is: During the Horse Month (fifth month of the Tibetan calendar), perform the practice in sessions.
