Place it. The eyes should be focused on the tip of the nose. Because this is the posture of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, blessings will enter, others will be guided, and the winds and mind will become workable, so samadhi will arise naturally and obstacles will be small. Then adjust the speech key, abandoning all uncomfortable winds and agitated minds. First, when entering spontaneous accomplishment, remain still for a while. Because the abiding of wind and mind is the root of making body and mind workable. Second, the main practice has two parts: first, meditating on samsara in general, and second, meditating by distinguishing each part of samsara. First, one must meditate on samsara in general. If you don't do that, great shock will not arise in the mind. The way to meditate is to clearly visualize all the container and contents of samsara, all of this appears due to illusion, but in reality there is nothing that can be established. It is like a yellow conch appearing to a person with yellow eyes. Therefore, focus single-mindedly on the fact that there is nothing that can be established, and in order not to lose the power of the mind, say "no appearance, no appearance." Second, one must meditate by distinguishing each part. If you don't do that, it will become just a general overview and you will not touch the essence. The way to meditate is, even if a feeling of joy arises, think: what is there to be happy about? This appears that way due to illusion. In reality, it is the same as a rabbit's horn, both are non-existent. Why should one be happy about a rabbit's horn? Focus single-mindedly on this. Similarly, as soon as feelings of displeasure, happiness, suffering, etc. arise, combine them with the previous ones and meditate. Furthermore, when the appearance of death arises, visualize that these are like rabbit horns, there is nothing to die at all. Because the defilements and suddenly appearing people are without self-nature, there is no death. And I myself am a clear, unknowing deity body, since there is no death, then the word death does not exist at all, so I am immortal, meditate single-mindedly on being immortal. After that, whatever appearances arise day and night, view them as illusions, and without distraction for even a moment, recite "no appearance, no appearance" and meditate.

Do not copy. Similarly, apply and meditate on other things such as birth and aging as well. Second, there are two ways to practice the view of clarity: meditative equipoise and post-meditation. First, after performing all the necessary preliminaries, visualize all pure containers and contents clearly in the mind and meditate with one-pointed concentration, constantly reciting "Clear, clear" in the mind. If the clarity appears clearly in the mind, it is okay not to recite mentally. In this case, if a slight ordinary appearance arises, look at it as appearing as non-existent, and repeatedly recite "Non-existent appearance, non-existent appearance" in your mind. When meditating in this way, no matter what pain or distraction arises from the body, speech, and mind, view the impure aspects as non-existent appearances, and the pure aspects as the clear Buddha. Do not let it become an obstacle to virtuous practice, but rather transform the greater the distraction, the greater it becomes a friend to virtuous practice, just like adding wood to a burning fire. At the end of the session, do not let anything disturb your mind, relax the mind itself, and leave it for a moment without distraction. This is necessary for the natural arising of calm abiding, the arising of certainty about the object of meditation, not falling into dullness, and the body and mind to rest a little. In this case, sometimes you need to meditate by focusing on all sentient beings, and sometimes you need to meditate by focusing on one sentient being in particular. Second, there are two aspects to post-meditation: strengthening the view and training in vast conduct. First, in the post-meditation after rising from meditative equipoise, no matter what sentient being you see, beautiful or not, maintain the previous view by mentally reciting "Clear, clear."
