It is the result of creating negative karma. No one wants such suffering. Since you don't want suffering, there is no way to avoid abandoning the cause of suffering—non-virtuous actions. Therefore, from now until death, not to mention great non-virtuous actions, even the smallest non-virtuous actions, I would rather die than do them, and I must generate such a strong wish. This shows that no matter what kind of suffering the body and mind endure, I cannot even bear this little bit of suffering. How can I bear the intense and long-lasting suffering of beings in hell, hungry ghosts, and animals? This shows that the great suffering of gods, demigods, and humans is unbearable, so I must generate the wish to abandon the cause of these sufferings—sins. Second, practicing in conjunction with the actual practice of the path is divided into two types: practicing in conjunction with relative Bodhicitta and practicing in conjunction with ultimate Bodhicitta. The first is: no matter what happiness arises in one's body and mind, one must clearly recognize that happiness. When experiencing the feeling of happiness, one is only happy that such happiness has arisen. Are all these beings who want happiness not my relatives? They have all been my kind parents many times in previous lives, so I must give all my happiness and its causes to all beings, and generate such a strong wish. Giving one's body, enjoyment, and other happiness, as well as its cause—all roots of virtue, without hesitation to all beings, so that they can jointly obtain the rain of wish-fulfilling jewels, effortlessly satisfying all wishes. In particular, those without clothes get clothes, those without food get food, and those without protection get protection. This shows that one should visualize the rain of wish-fulfilling jewels falling, fulfilling all wishes. Similarly, for the beings in the hot hells, one should visualize eliminating their heat and suffering through rain and cool winds, etc., and placing their bodies and minds in cool happiness. For the beings in the cold hells, one should visualize dispelling the darkness with warm things such as sunlight, making them warm and happy, and so on. This shows that one should generate the wish that the suffering of each of the six realms will be transformed into the path of practice. To clarify this, may all my happiness and virtue mature in all beings.

Thus, make aspirations. If you pray in a special place, whatever you pray for will be accomplished. In the sky in front of you, the Guru and the Three Jewels are omnipresent. With great devotion, pray to the Guru and the precious Three Jewels, "Please bless me so that my happiness and virtue may ripen for all sentient beings." Pray intensely like this. In short, alternate between aspiration, prayer, and supplication, and practice them. Whatever happiness arises, do not let it become a cause for pride and arrogance, which are the causes of samsara. Instead, transform it into the path in this way. It is said that whatever suffering appears, even if you only want to avoid such suffering, these sentient beings, due to their lack of skillful means, are only creating suffering even though they do not want it. In any case, make a strong aspiration that the suffering of all sentient beings, and the causes of suffering—karma and afflictions—may all be absorbed into my suffering. Thus, all the suffering of all sentient beings, together with its causes, gathers into a black mass and dissolves into your own suffering. Visualize all sentient beings becoming white and clear, peaceful and happy. And rest your awareness in an inexpressible state. As before, alternate between aspiration, prayer, and supplication. That is: Aspiration: May all the suffering and sins of all sentient beings ripen upon me. Supplication: Guru and the precious Three Jewels, please bless all the suffering and sins of all sentient beings to ripen upon me. Pray like this. It is said that it is important not to be angry or discouraged by suffering, but to transform it into the path. In short, when someone gives you even a needle and thread, think like this: "The reason I can get something like this is because of the benefit I gave to others in the past, not by chance or luck." Representing all happiness and virtue, offer it upwards to the Guru and the Three Jewels, and give it downwards generously to all sentient beings, so that they become the substance that fulfills whatever they desire, and they are satisfied. Visualize like this. It is said that even with something as small as a needle and thread, you can accumulate immeasurable merit, and that is the key. Second, the meaning
