There are immeasurable sufferings such as these. The noble Nagarjuna said: "Here, the suffering of being fiercely stabbed by three hundred short spears in a single day, even a small suffering of hell is neither tolerable nor bearable to approach." Thus he said. The pretas also have many sufferings such as hunger and thirst. Even among the pretas, the suffering caused by the lack of desire is constant and incurable. The suffering caused by hunger, thirst, cold, heat, fatigue, and fear is extremely unbearable and should be relied upon. Thus he said. Animals also have sufferings such as eating each other. Even in the birthplace of animals, there are various sufferings such as killing, binding, and beating. For those who abandon peace and virtue, eating each other is extremely unbearable. Thus he said, so one should strive to abandon evil. If virtue is not transformed into the path of liberation, even if one is born in a happy realm through merit and unwavering karma, some of them still have great suffering, and those without such suffering will die and be reborn in hell and experience suffering. The pleasures of the desire realm of the gods are very great, and after obtaining the pleasure of the Brahma realm without desire, one becomes firewood for the fire of Avici hell again, and one should rely on the continuous suffering. Thus he said. In short, the nature of samsara is suffering. The Lord Maitreya said: "Just as there is no fragrance in impure things, there is no happiness in the five realms. Its suffering is always like that born from the touch of fire, weapons, salt, etc." Thus he said, so one should strive for a way to be liberated from it. The noble Nagarjuna said: "If a fire suddenly breaks out on your head or clothes, even if you give up everything to put it out, you should strive to prevent rebirth, there is no other need more supreme than that." Thus he said. Therefore, generate from the depths of your heart the thought to strive to practice the sacred Dharma in order to be liberated from samsara. Secondly, refuting the attachment to the extreme of peaceful nirvana. Although one is liberated from samsara, pursuing the nirvana without remainder of aggregates that cuts off the benefit of others is like seeing others being carried away by water and having the ability to help but not helping them, but staying comfortably in a dry place.

It is not for the sake of lineage that the Mahayana should strive. The teacher Chandragomin said: Like being immersed in the ocean of relatives and friends' samsara, Like falling into an abyss, Abandoning those who cannot be recognized due to the transmigration of birth and death, If one attains liberation alone, there is nothing more shameful than that. A baby born in one's arms can do nothing, Sucking the milk that drips with love, Serving diligently, those who serve with love, Even the most vile person, who would be willing to abandon them? Thus he said. Therefore, one should abandon the mind that abandons benefiting others and only desires to attain peace and happiness alone. Third, to generate joy in the mind of enlightenment that is free from the two extremes. The Protector Maitreya said: Having cut off all self-grasping with wisdom, For the attachment of sentient beings, The wise do not attain peace. Thus, having taught the means of wisdom and compassion for enlightenment, The noble ones do not abide in samsara or nirvana. Thus, the nirvana that does not abide in samsara or nirvana is called the perfectly complete Buddha, having abandoned all obscurations including habitual tendencies, Knowing all knowable things as they are, and as many as there are, activities that are beyond measure and constantly unceasing, effortlessly and spontaneously accomplished, that is what should be attained. Its cause is also the mind of enlightenment. In the Compendium of Sutras it is said: Just as drops of water fill a vase, from the beginning to the end, Gradually decreasing, gradually decreasing, until it is completely filled. Similarly, the initial mind is also the supreme cause of enlightenment, Gradually perfecting white qualities, one will eventually become a Buddha. The Manifestation of Complete Enlightenment also says: Secret Lord, the wisdom of omniscient knowledge arises from the root of compassion, It arises from the cause of the mind of enlightenment, It is perfected by means. The Array of Trees also says: Son of lineage, the mind of enlightenment is like a seed, as it gives rise to all the qualities of the Buddhas. Thus it is said. Therefore, for the benefit of all sentient beings, In order to attain Buddhahood, one should generate a strong desire and longing to generate the mind for enlightenment. Second, the practice of application has two parts: Aspiration and engagement. First, there are three applications of preparation, main part, and conclusion: Praying to a special object
