I With the lineage gurus, glorious and holy lamas, I take refuge! To the complete Buddhas, the Bhagavad Ones, I take refuge! To the holy Dharma, I take refuge! To the noble Sangha, I take refuge! Thus, to the best of my ability, joining my palms together, to the lama and the three precious jewels, I prostrate and take refuge! Please bless my being. Visualize the objects of refuge dissolving into light and merging into oneself. For the benefit of all sentient beings, may I attain the state of complete Buddhahood. For that purpose, I will practice the profound path. Thus, generate the mind of enlightenment three times. If there is energy, one can also practice the visualization and recitation of Vajrasattva, as in the general mother tantras. Fifth, Guru Yoga: On a lotus and moon cushion on the crown of one's head, in an instant, the root guru appears in the form of Buddha Vajradharma. His body is red, holding a vajra and bell. He is adorned with silks, jewels, and bone ornaments. His legs are in the vajra posture. Visualize him as the embodiment of all refuge objects. By whose kindness is great bliss attained, by whose instant is arising attained, the lama like a precious jewel, Vajradhara at the lotus feet I pay homage! Thus, and, I pray to the precious guru who is the essence of all Buddhas of the three times. Please bless my being! Thus, with intense devotion, pray. (ཀྵ,kṣa,Ksha) The guru dissolves into light and merges into oneself, visualizing one's body, speech, and mind as inseparable from the guru's body, speech, and mind. All phenomena are manifestations of one's own mind, and also like illusions, abide in the state of knowing the emptiness of inherent existence. Sixth, Generating Oneself as a Buddha: With the downward moving wind, the (ༀ,oṃ,Om,) syllable at the navel, which is inherently present in one's body, is pushed upward as "ཚུལ". With the upward moving wind, the (ཧཾ,haṃ,Hum,) syllable at the crown of the head is pushed downward as "སྒྲ". Thus, due to the merging of the two, sound and ཚུལ, in the heart, in an instant, the mandala with its support and supported arises simultaneously. The soles of the feet are the mandala of wind. The tri-junction is fire. The abdomen is water. The heart is earth. The spine is the king of mountains, Mount Meru. The head is the top of Mount Meru. The forehead is
