Ma. The mandala of fire itself, this supreme red color, is where Padma Gonpo (Lotus Lord) travels. The element arising from the left side, the arising mandalas of wind, appear in greenish-yellow hues, where Karma Gonpo (Action Lord) travels. The element arising from both, appearing in golden color, is the mandala of great power, where Ratna Gonpo (Jewel Lord) travels. The slow and unmoving element, appearing like pure crystal, is the momentary water mandala, where Vajra Gonpo (Diamond Lord) travels. The perfect arising of the three realms, the support and the supported being held, in the Vairochana commentary, is the body of great deeds. At the end of death, it will arise. These four mandalas, always recite with equanimity. By the number of mantra recitations, always recite day and night. By the pervader, it is the wind that pervades all four element mandalas, the non-arising and pervading radiant one is the Tathagata Vairochana, whose nature is equal to space. Thus it is said. Thus, the Bhagavan said in the great yoga tantra called "Glorious Vajra Garland." Thus and so on, and its meaning is extensively explained. In explaining the reality of mantras, those mantras of emanation and so on are those that truly arise from Āli Kāli. Their reality is the three letters arising from the indestructible, because all mantras are the essence of women, men, and hermaphrodites, and as heard, they enter well into the three letters. Therefore, the three letters are the lords of all mantras. They also arise individually from the three letters together with the indestructible. Now the function of the three letters will be explained. First, from the true union of the three, the body of the deity will arise. That itself, by the order of entering, abiding, and rising, holds the body day and night. That itself, together with Āli Kāli, when the two organs are equally united, facing downwards, arises from the secret nostril in the form of a seed, and generates the realm of sentient beings. That itself, together with life and effort, rises upwards, in the senses

Awakening the doors of the senses, arising in sequence from the left and right, etc., of the conventional nose, spontaneously accomplishing, one should perform the Vajra recitation, which purifies the obscurations of past deeds. By closely counting the number of recitations in the order of day and night, mandalas of water, etc., arise, and from places of white, etc., one performs activities such as pacification. Contemplate that as the form of a letter, with the tip of the tongue utterly unmoving. Thus, performing the recitation with the characteristics of verbal recitation, relying on external colors, etc., one performs activities such as pacification. Those three letters should be purified, realized, and ignited in sequence, purifying foods and making them faultless. Thus, it should be done at all times when dwelling in the body, finally entering the indestructible, and again relying on an ordinary body, one does everything in the same way. Furthermore, because letters such as 'ka' (Tibetan: ཀ, Devanagari: क, Romanized Sanskrit: ka, Literal meaning: ka) that are not perfectly united with 'a' (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A) do not exist, because they are finite, they do not become words. As the Bhagavan said in the 'True Praise of Names': 'A' (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A) is the letter, etc... does. Thus it is said. Therefore, the Bhagavan said that all meditations are the seed-syllable of the door. 'A' (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A) is the door of all dharmas because it is unborn. It is also said to be a co-emergent letter. In the tantra called 'Vajra Mandala Ornament' it is said: 'A' (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A) is for clear manifestation, in the center of the heart, it is indestructible, blazing and like a lamp. It is unchanging, supremely subtle. 'A' (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A) is the supreme, sacred chief. Thus it is said. Thus, all Tathagatas have become of the lineage of 'A' (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A), have become the cause of 'A' (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A), and will definitely arise from 'A' (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A). If one knows that the nature of ceasing when being spoken is the characteristic of verbal discrimination, truly as it is, then without relying on sound and non-sound, according to the differences in the thoughts of sentient beings, the Tathagata teaches the Dharma to those who are to be tamed. Therefore, the Bhagavan said in the Lankavatara Sutra: Great wisdom, the great Bodhisattva should contemplate the meaning.
