Its nature is pure. The winds perform the function of expanding at the sense gates and gathering inward. The pervasive one, abiding in the joints, is the nature of the Tathagata Vairochana, possessing all-pervading light, the nature of space. Whatever arises with whatever, it arises in the nature of a wheel between them, and at the time of death, it arises in the nature of a chief, performing the activities of stretching, bending, and moving the body. The common function of these winds is to be the mount of consciousness. The five winds of the limbs, such as walking, abide in the five senses, such as the eyes, in order, and perform the functions of external objects, such as forms. Thus it is said. The number of mantra recitations is 21,600 recitations in one day and night. There are twenty-four divisions for that. There are twelve great divisions. Six staff strikes. Thus it is said. All mantras, such as emanations arising from Āli (藏文:ཨཱ་ལི་,梵文天城体:āli,梵文罗马拟音:āli,汉语字面意思:阿哩) and Kāli (藏文:ཀཱ་ལི་,梵文天城体:kāli,梵文罗马拟音:kāli,汉语字面意思:嘎哩), delight the minds of yogis in the explanation of the three syllables Om (藏文:ཨོཾ,梵文天城体:oṃ,梵文罗马拟音:oṃ,汉语字面意思:嗡), Āḥ (藏文:ཨཱཿ,梵文天城体:āḥ,梵文罗马拟音:āḥ,汉语字面意思:阿), and Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ,梵文天城体:hūṃ,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:吽) of the five families. Āli, without Ri (藏文:རི,梵文天城体:ri,梵文罗马拟音:ri,汉语字面意思:日), Rī (藏文:རཱི,梵文天城体:rī,梵文罗马拟音:rī,汉语字面意思:哩), Li (藏文:ལི,梵文天城体:li,梵文罗马拟音:li,汉语字面意思:里), and Lī (藏文:ལཱི,梵文天城体:lī,梵文罗马拟音:lī,汉语字面意思:丽), is the name of a woman. Kāli, without ṅa (藏文:ང,梵文天城体:ṅa,梵文罗马拟音:ṅa,汉语字面意思:昂), ña (藏文:ཉ,梵文天城体:ña,梵文罗马拟音:ña,汉语字面意思:娘), ṇa (藏文:ཎ,梵文天城体:ṇa,梵文罗马拟音:ṇa,汉语字面意思:纳), na (藏文:ན,梵文天城体:na,梵文罗马拟音:na,汉语字面意思:那), and ma (藏文:མ,梵文天城体:ma,梵文罗马拟音:ma,汉语字面意思:玛), is the name of a man. That which is without Āli and Kāli is neither male nor female. Thus it is said. Furthermore, life is living. That which creates and expands for a long time is said to be the wind of life's effort. Thus it is said. Indeed, all mantras, in the nature of female, male, and neither, are gathered into those three syllables. Thus it is said. When the mind is secluded, if one knows the mind is secluded, it is the cause for the arising of the precious wisdom of the Buddha, therefore it is called the precious mind. Furthermore, in the Sutra of Transcendent Wisdom, it is said: The mind is the cause for the arising of wisdom; do not seek the Buddha elsewhere. Thus it is said. What is the nature of that mind? It is merely self-awareness, devoid of all characteristics, without an object. Furthermore, in the Great Jewel Heap Sutra, it is said: Light Protector, the mind is that which cannot be found when sought; it is without an object. That which is without an object is not past, not future, and not presently arising. Thus and so forth it is said. Such a mind, when divided, has three.

It transforms into appearance, the increase of appearance, the attainment of appearance, or the ignorance of mind and mental factors, or emptiness, great emptiness, or desire, intermediate desire, and freedom from desire. After extensively explaining its nature in this way, although it is so, all three should be understood as devoid of body, speech, and mind, and separate from all objects of characteristics. Thus and so on, and initially, without the union of vajra and lotus, the three consciousnesses cannot be manifested. Thus, in the Great Yoga Tantra, the "Collection of Wisdom Vajras" states: Without the equal union of vajra and lotus, which are previously gathered by mantras and mudras, the three consciousnesses cannot be closely examined. Thus it is said. Thus, in the context of conventional truth, the "Collection of Wisdom Vajras" states: The great yogi of mind and mental factors is the samadhi of bliss. That is approximated by the example of illusion. Therefore, the Tathagatas of the Buddha-field, as many as the sands of the Ganges, are like illusions, like the moon in water, like cataracts, like dreams, like echoes, like cities of Gandharvas, like magic, like rainbows, like lightning, like water bubbles, like reflections in mirrors. The samadhi of great bliss is approximated by twelve examples of illusion. Thus it is said. Thus, not only should I meditate in this way, but all dharmas should be known as illusions. That illusion-like samadhi is also the secret instruction of the Tathagatas, and it is hidden and placed at the end of the five limbs in order to subdue the pride of the wise. Thus, by abiding in the illusion-like samadhi and meditating on luminosity, ordinary luminosity wisdom arises from that luminosity, therefore it is said to arise from that. Thus it is said. In the context of the truth of meaning, there are two ultimate truths: external manifest enlightenment and internal manifest enlightenment. External manifest enlightenment has four aspects: from the time of dawn until the sun has not risen, the body, speech, and mind are separated, and everything is empty.
