Constantly appearing, yet not grasped, afflicted by the great disease of action, the holy person who heals with the great medicine of unwavering wisdom. Therefore, of body, speech, and mind, abiding in the supreme discipline, generating the pride of "I," practice the second stage itself. In a solitary place or at the edge of a village, in any such place, having done all the works that should be done, sit on a comfortable seat. Then, all sentient beings, contemplate with the four great Brahma-viharas, and so forth, purify the obscurations of karma in one's own mindstream, contemplate only the mind, and make the nature of external objects empty. The mind itself, having been emptied, abide in mere self-awareness. That self-awareness, like the moon, etc., contemplate as a seat, then as a letter. Touching with a pen, it becomes a sign. Then, generate yourself as a deity, possessing the pride of a deity, seal with the four mudras, and manifest the mandala wheel. Pleasing that, becoming accustomed to that, the external body is turned back, the supreme realm of activity of the Buddhas, meditate on that ultimate nature. The samaya mudra of one's own heart, residing as a sign in the heart, the supreme wisdom of all the Tathagatas, for those of the first stage, the letters appear as forms, the indestructible seed of one's own deity, blazing with five rays of light. With the five colors of that, from the gate of a thousand rays of light, emanate fully from the right. At the root of that, the Sugatas with the wheel of the mandala, filling the ten directions of the world, all sentient beings born from the conceptual thoughts of breath, become the body of the Buddha. Having generated them, melt them into moonlight, having dissolved and purified them, let them enter into the left "Ha" as the essence of wisdom. The sign of that residing in the center, when placed upon the seed, that itself is all the qualities of all the Buddhas, the precious jewel that generates all virtues. The lord who pervades all things, the indestructible great bindu, blazing with five rays of light, like a mustard seed, gather all phenomena into your own mind and contemplate them. With the gradual rays of that, pervade your own place. From that, the samaya mudra arises, the inner light illuminates the outer body with that, illuminates the mandala.
