Because it cannot be endured, it cannot be a basis for permanence, and all things that appear to exist depend on their own causes and conditions. Space and so on are also not established as causes of annihilation, so there is no annihilation. If you say, "The self is permanent," is that self the same as or different from the aggregates? If the former, then just as the aggregates arise and cease, the self would also arise and cease. If the latter, then a self other than the aggregates is not established, and it itself is coarse, indivisible particles, and indivisible moments, so the self is not established. In short, form is not the self, because it must also be impermanent in the same way. Form does not abide in the self, because it disintegrates even against its will. It is also unreasonable for the self to abide in form by its own nature, because the self's will cannot control its entry and exit. It is also not the case that form exists in the self by its own nature, because even when the self does not exist, external forms and so on still exist as visible things. As the teacher Nagarjuna said, "Form is not the self, the self is not connected with form, the self does not abide in form, nor does form abide in the self, and the other four aggregates should also be understood as empty." Furthermore, the extensive reasoning of specific refutations should be understood elsewhere. If so, does establishing this as a vehicle become meaningless? No, because the meaning of its words refers to lifting from higher to higher. Here, relying on the vehicle of gods and humans that maintains the original state, the vehicles of heretical views are cut off, thereby climbing the ladder of the true path that is free from afflictions. As the speaker of truth said, "Son of good family, fearing that you would enter the wrong path, I have summarized and taught many views of the aggregates." Because one knows those bad paths, one will not enter them, and in order to eliminate all the latent or innate views and behaviors in one's own continuum, this statement has necessity, relevance, and specificity. One should know the cause of the view of the aggregates, one should know the path, one should know the result, and having known it, one should also abandon it. Therefore, after briefly discussing the views of the two vehicles of maintaining the original state and heretical views, the third general meaning will be correctly explained.

The classification of the objects expressed by the vehicle of the perfect Buddha has two aspects: how it is superior to the former, and the actual classification of the nature of the scriptures by the special features. The first is: In general, if we talk about only one aspect, the noble Dharma is inconceivable. But in short, although the mind is transformed by philosophical systems, those who do not study the three correct trainings and further increase the cause and effect of self-view are outsiders. Those who, after having their minds transformed by philosophical systems, adopt the three correct trainings of discipline, concentration, and wisdom, and uproot the cause and effect of self-view, which is the root of existence, are insiders. The second also has three: a general explanation of the meaning of the word "vehicle," a detailed explanation of the characteristics of the three turnings of the wheel of Dharma, and a distinct classification of the nine vehicles' philosophical systems. The first also has: essence, definition, and classification. The first is: Thus, in accordance with the fortune of the three types of individuals, it is that which possesses the special Dharma that gradually connects to the states of higher realms and definite goodness. The second is: The word "vehicle" is derived from the Sanskrit word (藏文,梵文天城体,梵文罗马拟音,汉语字面意思) “याना(yāna,雅那,乘)”, and it also applies to vehicles and directions, etc. Therefore, relying on it, one can gradually progress from low to high. As it is also said in the Compendium: "Whoever rides this, can turn sentient beings to Nirvana. This vehicle is like a city, a vast and immeasurable palace, capable of accomplishing joy, happiness, and bliss, this is the supreme vehicle." The third is: In general, the distinctions of thoughts and the ways of the mind of all sentient beings are inconceivable. Therefore, the ways of progressing on the path and the ways of abiding in grounds and samadhi are immeasurable. As it is said in the Lankavatara Sutra: "As long as the mind operates, there is no end to the vehicle." And in the Manjushri Illusion Net: "With various methods of the vehicle, one contemplates for the benefit of beings." However, here, for the time being, according to the different capacities of inferior, intermediate, and superior beings, if we briefly discuss the classification of numbers, there are six. First, in the Lotus Sutra of the Sacred Dharma, it is said: "With upright means, they teach the three vehicles. The guides are skilled in means, there is only one Buddha vehicle, not two or three." Like this, although there are various different vehicles, in the end, they are all for accomplishing the state of omniscience.
