Free from expressions of speech, abandoning the expresser and the expressed, the guru has previously spoken of such innate wisdom. As it is said: In eating or in intercourse, in all circumstances, there is no concealment and fear is abandoned, great wisdom is self-realized. This treatise was translated by Chandragomin and Prajnakirti, and is only a small, necessary fragment. The author of this treatise, King Indrabhuti, has a short, clear commentary written by the goddess Lakshmi or Shri-devi, who was his own guru. In the "Realization of Suchness" by the great adept Kerelipa: For example, knowing the nature of poison, even if one eats poison, it does not harm. Likewise, knowing the nature of objects, there is no harm in practicing desire. Just as a lotus grows from mud, but is not stained by it, so one should always enjoy desires with wisdom. Therefore, if you want to attain the supreme accomplishment, you should not practice austerities. Experience bliss as it is; without bliss, there is no accomplishment. Furthermore: Immovable, stainless, subtle, having the form of a bindu, without conceptual thought, the beginningless and endless Suchness is the unborn, uncreated supreme. Also: The cause is sealed with the effect, and the effect is also sealed with the cause. By sealing cause and effect together, the Great Seal arises. Thus, this is a commentary on the general intent of the tantra divisions, a treatise that mainly explains innate wisdom, gathering the essence of the Indian yogis, and from the eight great accomplished ones, for the benefit of oneself and others, a few excerpts of scripture are collected, in the auspicious Evam Choden retreat. Like a lotus grove moistened with honey, pleasing to see, like a second moon. Holding the stainless, profound correct view in the heart, seeing this reason, it is briefly compiled for the benefit of oneself and others. Auspicious accomplishment! In the "Determination of the Four Seals" by Acharya Nagarjuna: One should examine the karma mudra, the body, speech, and mind of karma are the main things. A mudra is an examination.

What kind of nature is it? For Karma Mudra, the four joys will arise by the distinction of moments. As it is said, "Knowing the moment is wisdom, well abiding in E-vam." Also, if one does not know the Dharma Mudra and relies only on the false Karma Mudra, how can the co-emergent nature that is not false arise and be born? From a cause of the same kind, a result of the same kind arises, not from a different kind. For example, from a seed of rice, a sprout of rice arises, not from barley. Similarly, from the nature of the uncreated Dharma Mudra, the uncreated co-emergent arises. As it is said, "Buddha, precious wish-fulfilling gem." Among them, "wish-fulfilling gem" is explained as a place or basis. Also, O! Dharma Mudra is the nature of Dharmadhatu, which is free from elaboration, non-conceptual, uncreated, free from arising and ceasing, with compassion as its nature, becoming a means of unity and adornment with supreme joy, arising from the wisdom of the constantly unchanging co-emergent nature and co-emergent, whatever is without distinction should be known as Dharma Mudra. Also, Dharma Mudra is the cause of the indivisibility of Mahamudra. Also, Ah! What is called Mahamudra is both Mudra and great, hence it is called Mahamudra. The nature is without existence, eliminating the obscurations of knowable objects, etc., like the clear sky at noon in autumn, it is without stain, it is the basis of all perfections, it transcends the limits of samsara and nirvana, it is the unique nature, the body of compassion without an object, it is the nature of great bliss. Similarly, Dharma without attention is good, Dharma with attention is not good, so it is said. Also, not examined by discursive thoughts, the mind does not abide anywhere, there is no memory and no attention, I prostrate to that which has no object. Whatever this is, it should be known as Mahamudra. Therefore, from the inconceivable nature of Mahamudra, the supreme result of Samaya Mudra arises. As it is said, "Hum! The so-called Samaya Mudra

That is to say, for the sake of sentient beings, the very nature of the first appearance of the Sambhogakaya and Nirmanakaya is manifested in the form of Vajradhara Heruka. This is considered the commitment mudra. Thus and so forth it is said. This text was translated by Lama Dhiri Shri Jnana and the translator Ma Ban Chopa. There is an excellent commentary on this, called "The Essence of the Jewel, Commentary on the Four Mudras," written by the Indian Khenpo Bhita Karma. Furthermore, in "The Clear Light of Wisdom," written by Acharya Devachandra, it says: Therefore, one should lead those with attachment into non-attachment, lead those without attachment into intermediate attachment, and lead those with intermediate attachment into great attachment. Therefore, for the sake of those who have become the most excellent sentient beings, this unsurpassed and profound wisdom has been taught. Also, as it is said in "Accomplishment of Wisdom": Just as a copper vessel filled with essence becomes beautiful gold, when filled with the essence of wisdom, afflictions are transformed into virtue. It is also said: Knowing the unborn, the ungrasping, and the absence of inherent existence is called wisdom. Also, as it is said in "Entering Suchness": Since it is not the object of all elaborations, it is therefore not the object of speech either. Vajradhara has fully proclaimed that awareness itself as wisdom. Thus it is said. Therefore, the various interdependent minds are merely the self-awareness of great bliss, called great compassion without object, which is wisdom with another name. Wisdom is it, and awareness is also it, so it is a concise expression. It is also said: My guru once said: If one does not understand Mahamudra and only practices Karma Mudra, then one will degenerate from the lineage, and the yogi will cry and lament. Thus it is said. It is also said: This supreme guru's oral instruction is: After well practicing Karma Mudra, contemplate Dharma Mudra, and above that is Mahamudra, from which the samaya arises. Thus it is said. It is also said: Karma Mudras are of various kinds, Dharma Mudra arises from maturation, Mahamudra is devoid of characteristics, it is the very nature.
