Furthermore, it aligns with the views of Pramāṇavārttika. Jo-bo (Lord Atiśa) said, "There is no need for direct perception and inference." This also refers to the speculations of non-Buddhist logicians who hold similar views. Secondly, in the Kālacakra, it says, "The virtuous thought of benefiting others is like the sprout of a lotus moon." And so on, many sutras and tantras prophesied that Dignāga's disciple, Dharmakīrti, who was more skilled in epistemology than Dignāga himself, was proficient in Prajñāpāramitā, had qualities of light in Vinaya, and was knowledgeable in Abhidharma. He is also known for the Compendium of Valid Cognition and the Mañjuśrīmūlatantra, which prophesied, "The letter dhī is the one who strives in discipline. He is well-known in the southern direction. Having refuted opposing debaters, he will likewise strive in discipline and also accomplish mantras." Born into a Brahmin family, Dharmakīrti heard the Compendium of Valid Cognition three times from Devendrabuddhi, a student of Dignāga, and understood its meaning as it was. He defeated many non-Buddhist debaters. The first chapter of the Pramāṇavārttika, the means of understanding what is to be measured, is the means of understanding the hidden. Through the three correct signs of nature, effect, and non-observation, the definition of a correct sign is established, along with its opposite, the appearance of a false reason. In establishing the meaning, "The reason that pervades the property of the subject has three aspects," and so on, is the chapter for one's own sake. The second chapter is the means of realizing omniscience through the power of reality, and how the meaning of the homage in the Compendium transforms into the form of valid cognition, and how it is established as a teacher from the intention to benefit beings, how it is established as a Sugata, how it is established as quiescence, and how it is established as valid cognition from these aspects, etc. Through the ways of accordance and non-accordance, the sixteen aspects of the four truths, impermanence, etc., are explained, and from the one who has become valid cognition, the path of liberation is extensively explained. "Valid cognition is infallible knowledge, which exists in what is capable of acting, and arises from infallible speech, also for the sake of showing the intention of manifestation," and so on, is the third chapter on establishing valid cognition, which is the means of realizing the manifest. The four types of direct perception, such as sense consciousness, mental consciousness, self-awareness, and yogic direct perception, are for establishing direct perception. "Because there are two objects to be measured, there are also two valid cognitions, because of the ability and inability to act," and so on, and the fourth chapter on direct perception.

Regarding the branch of following others, in general, the definition of inference for the sake of others, its divisions, the method of dispelling wrong conceptions, and extensive explanations from the aspects of individual distinctions. For the purpose of demonstrating to others, even if it is not what one sees oneself, it is for the sake of other beings. Etc., these are all chapters on benefiting others. In the Madhyamaka-nyaya, the first chapter explains the four types of direct perception, the second chapter explains inference, and the third chapter explains benefiting others. The concise Tika-nyaya condenses the essence of one's own system, and through three chapters explains the three aspects of direct perception, inference, and benefiting others, which are the three main treatises like the body. Derived from inference for one's own sake, the Hetu-tika, which specifically explains various reasons, the Sambandha-pariksa, which is made to prevent the examination of relations by non-Buddhists, the Para-citta-siddhi, which is derived from inference for the sake of others, although appearance is mind, but to make the continuum of others reasonable, and the Vada-vidhi, which explains the method of debate, these four are branch treatises, making a total of seven treatises. When studying Pramana, it is first considered that the classification of reasons is very important, and considering it difficult to understand, a self-commentary is made on the Svartha chapter of the Pramana-varttika. His disciples were Omniscient Lhawang Lo, and his disciple Shakya Lo, who both made commentaries. Acharya Dulwa Lha made commentaries on all seven treatises. Changkhenpo Sherab Jungne made the Pramana-astadasasahasrika, and Acharya Chokchok made a commentary on the Nyaya-bindu called the Great Meaningful Commentary, which is twelve thousand stanzas, and made a commentary on the Tika-nyaya called the Student Benefit. Changkhenpo's disciple, the Brahmin Zama Khache, made a commentary on the Pramana-varttika. Gyalwang Lo made a commentary on the Pramana-sutra, etc. To summarize the meaning of these treatises, it is said: Direct perception and inference, together with the semblance, make oneself know. Statements of proof and refutation, together with the semblance, make others know. Thus, there are eight terms and meanings of logic. Among them, there are four types of direct perception, namely, sense direct perception is the object of the five senses. In terms of classification, the real one is the moon, and the false one is like two moons. Mental direct perception is the object of the consciousness of ordinary beings. Pramana is seeing the true nature of the object to be measured without error, and Apramana is wrong conception. Yoga direct perception is the wisdom of the continuum of noble ones, and self-awareness direct perception is a subtle consciousness, these two
