Focus on the shape of the letters, focus on the shape of the letters in one's own heart, and focus on the sound. Among these, the first is: the chain of sound mantras, the mandala of the mind like the moon, the body of the fundamental Buddha, focus on these in sequence all at once and recite mentally or whisper. In the middle, relax the breath, and when exhaling, without changing the secret mantra, look at the fundamental deity you are practicing. Again, as before, focus on the three, such as the form in front, and recite while combining the life energy until the end of the exhalation. When tired, gradually gather the sounds and so on, and rise from the ordinary state. The second is: when the breath enters, together gather the moon and the mantra into one's own heart, and when exhaling, place it in the heart of the Buddha in front, and recite in between the recitations. When exhaling, focus on all four limbs at once. The third is: having practiced the four limbs of recitation in this way, the recitation is done by gathering the breath inward, in the manner of gathering into the sense faculties, which is: blocking the path of memory and the arising of breath, focusing on the sound being recited, and holding the mind. Until the end of the exhalation, recite the mantra between the end of the mantra. Again, as the breath goes out, focus on the Tathagata and the other three and recite, and in this way, recite focusing on the sound through the entry and exit of the breath and the manner of expansion and contraction. Second, the union of non-duality is: that itself has three aspects, first, the secret mantra abiding in fire bestows accomplishment: first, manifest one's own Suchness. After that, contemplate the Suchness of the deity who has the nature of sound. The sound abides in the burning flame in the direction of the heart, abiding on the chain of its letters, blocking the life energy, cutting off distraction and dullness. Meditate every day until external and internal signs such as no hunger appear, and practice until you are able to accomplish what you want. This is the end of the previous recitation, and it can also be practiced elsewhere. Second, sound abiding bestows yoga is: analyzing the words and letters of the lineage mantra with intelligence, this is the nature of meditation. One's own true

Within the flame inside the moon in the heart where one dwells, contemplate the deity or only the moon, as well as the garland of letters, clarifying it slightly with samadhi. Then, abandoning its form, meditate only on the rhythm of sound. Third, liberation is given by the end of sound: the realm of completely pure, non-dual wisdom, the Dharmadhatu is the nature of meditation. That is also gathered again, and after asceticism and abiding in meditation, performing life-force efforts, etc., stabilizing the contemplation of one's own deity's form, abandoning the coarse samadhi that focuses on the sound of whispered recitation, and making it stable. Abandoning the subtle samadhi of mental recitation, and making it stable, also abandoning the extremely subtle samadhi of conceptualizing in the form of secret mantras, completely abandoning that itself, contemplate luminosity as the nature of the Dharmadhatu. The third is accomplishment: accomplishing body, objects, or enjoyments, etc. The fourth is the conduct of accomplishment: after accomplishing any one of the three siddhis, how to act for the benefit of oneself and others, temporarily and ultimately, from the nature of the Dharmadhatu, the place, body, and enjoyment of the deity one has meditated on appear, which is the body, the dharani mantra is speech, the mudra is mind, called the three samayas of the fruit. That itself also transforms into the three kayas of one's own place. Its tantra, namely the Tathagata, Padma, and Vajra families, are the main three families. Its retinue includes the Ratna family, the Cow King or Increasing family, the Five Desires family, and the Worldly family, divided into six families, therefore this tantra is called the Six Doors. Such an Action Tantra, in the "Taming the Lamp" it says: Anyone who, for the time being, due to the habits of practicing in other lifetimes, is unable to keep the mind equally at ease in a deserted forest place, and without activities such as bathing, drawing mandalas, offering, fire offerings, asceticism, and recitation, therefore the Action Tantra was taught.

Through the power of faith, and also through the activities spoken by the Sugata, one will attain wisdom, therefore it is associated with activities. For these, it is not that there are very many branches of activities, but the root tantra is spoken. Thus, this teacher considers the Action Tantra as the root tantra. Furthermore, there are three types of conduct: conduct that engages in pleasing the secret mantra, conduct that acts for the sake of pleasing the secret mantra, and conduct that accomplishes the pleasing of the secret mantra. First, there are two types: outer engaging conduct and inner engaging conduct. The first type also has two aspects: entering the mandala, receiving the name empowerment, and abiding in the vows distinguished by samaya. The first, from the tantra of the object of receiving, states: 'The teacher who understands the secret mantra mudras should be known to be of two types.' Thus, by meditating on profound emptiness, making the mind workable, and by practicing post-meditation conduct like illusion, accumulating vast merit, one is allowed to bestow empowerment and recite in the mind mandala of the supreme Buddhas. The second is for those who have not attained a profound and vast mind, that is, they are allowed to draw outer mandalas such as those made of colored powders. The disciple who receives it, being a mature disciple with qualities such as faith, noble lineage, and devotion to the profound, and generally, also generating compassion for others, placing them in the mandala, becomes the manifestation of the cause of enlightenment. The qualities of excellent distinction are four, five, and six. First, 'One, practice immediately; two, practice or not practice; all qualities are complete.' As it is said, that is, the first type, those who are skilled and accustomed to the mind of enlightenment, worldly, having inner, past and not past, colored powders, both mandalas are possible, and those who are skilled but not accustomed to the mind of enlightenment are worldly people, and those who are not skilled but not accustomed to the mind of enlightenment, after being placed in the mandala, are immediately empowered in the empowerment mandala and become practitioners, these are three types. The second type is, those who are not accustomed to the mind of enlightenment but can become accustomed, are first placed in the mandala, and instead of practicing immediately, they are temporarily made to meditate on the mind of enlightenment, and then practice later, and those who can become skilled are also treated in this way.
