The cause and essence of diminishing (a downfall) are the same. Being free from names, etc., is the meaning of the abiding place of accomplishment, like the luminous nature of space. By the cause of clinging to things as characteristics, for those sentient beings with excellent faculties who have faith in it, it will diminish them. It does not allow those who have not entered to enter, and it prevents those who have entered and does not make them stable. Also, not relying on vows and slandering wisdom. Not relying on vows such as the five nectars is the cause of slandering wisdom, because slandering it itself is the cause of abandoning it. Thus it is said. Furthermore, if these fourteen are summarized, there are three: not causing the common bodhicitta to decline, not causing the special bodhicitta to decline, and not causing both of them to decline. Thus it is said. The first is: to a companion, abandoning love, abandoning bodhicitta, slandering tenets, abandoning love to the cruel, five. The remainder is the second. The first two are what is said in the third. Also, that is also the nature of the three: view, meditation, and conduct. Doubting the Dharma, and abandoning conceptualization of things that are free from names, etc., is the realization of two kinds of view. By abandoning the nine of the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, and tenth, is the key to meditation. By diminishing the mind, not relying on vows, and slandering wisdom, through abandoning and practicing the nine, is conduct. Thus it is said. In the "Extensive Commentary on the Root Downfalls" composed by the teacher Jampal Drakpa, quoting the words of Buddha Yeshe Zhap: With the ritual of the four yogas, and the union of appearance and existence as illusion, walking, standing, sleeping, and sitting, are the activities of body, speech, and mind. Doing, speaking, and acting, do not stray from Food should be regarded as nectar, in the mandala of non-difference, in the manner of an external fire offering, always perform a feast offering. Walking is pure by nature, the ritual of empowerment, also wash with external water. When sleeping, sleep with wisdom and compassion. When rising, awaken with auspicious songs. Everything is pure by nature, appearing as pure deities and places. Because mind itself appears as anything, it is completely liberated from the extremes of happiness and suffering. Thus it is said. Also, as quoted from the Net of Illusion...

Beyond the cycle of existence. From generating the path of Dharma, Having abandoned Dharma and non-Dharma, Like attaining the bliss of enlightenment. Likewise, having abandoned the net of conceptualization, Propagating the profoundly deep Dharma, On the path spoken by the Thus-Gone One, Do not engage in conceptualization of mantra and wisdom. Thus it is said. By abiding in this conduct, There is no elaboration and no equality of self, Transcending the doer, the deed, and effort. All things, pure and impure, Like illusions, are without substance, Devoid of examination, there is no acceptance or rejection. Without abandoning desire and so forth, One does not accomplish Buddhahood for others. Transcending the extremes of existence and non-existence, permanence and annihilation, Without color or form, without body or speech, Abandoning life-force efforts gradually and simultaneously, Without letters, signs, or seals, Not abiding in any of the ten directions, Transcending the realm of grasping and fixation. Without vows, commitments, or mandalas, Not conceptualizing the ten suchnesses. Without object of meditation, meditator, or meditation, Buddhas and sentient beings, Free from self and effort. Abandoning cause, effect, path, and so forth, Towards things that are causes and non-causes, Do not conceptualize like the sky. Abandoning stupas, scriptures, and so forth, There is no duality of demons and attainments. Self-awareness transcends the realm of expression, Through gestures, symbols, and senses, There is not even a particle to be shown in this. It is conduct that transcends speculation, The follower of the holy ones knows it for themselves. Seeing the holy one who is unseen, Knowing it is like an illusion. Through familiarizing oneself with the ultimate wisdom, Without conceptualization, benefiting others like a wish-fulfilling jewel. The three bodies, the five wisdoms, and so forth, Like the Buddha's wish-fulfilling tree, Like being perfected in an instant in autumn, Therefore, secrets are gathered in that. Adorned greatly by the fourth empowerment, That itself is the first supreme glory, The ultimate path of Vajrasattva. As it is said, therefore this is the ultimate conduct, the great conduct of equipoise. Thus it is said. The true words of gods and sages, The power of applying to whomsoever, If one does not see it deceiving, Without wisdom and attachment, Engaging in the benefit of others through aspiration and compassion. What need is there to mention the all-knowing one? Thus it is said. The transference of consciousness is the death of a yogi, it is the perfection of wisdom. At the time of death, in the manner of the two truths, possessing an illusory mind, with attachment, hatred, and so forth.
