Then, following the footsteps of practicing the path of the great being, seeing all beings as kind mothers, compassion arises naturally day and night, turning away from the thought of self-interest, and acting only for the benefit of others; generating the precious Bodhicitta that cherishes others more than oneself, and being motivated by it, all the actions of the three doors do not go beyond the six perfections. After that, the courage to liberate beings grows stronger, and from entering the gate of secret mantra, cherishing vows and commitments more than life, based on this, practicing the first stage can prevent ordinary appearances and attachments in the mind; everything that appears manifests as pure and boundless realms, and the continuum of generating the complete completion stage matures. Then, practice the second stage. The movement of karma wind stops in the bindu (Sanskrit: dhātu), and a little light appears. When rising from it, it arises from the true state of being adorned with marks and signs, accomplishing the ultimate attainment of the mantra path - the wisdom of inseparable deep clarity, the union of two bodies. From the similar continuum of that body, the state of possessing the three bodies and five wisdoms is accomplished. After attaining this state, through the twenty-seven doors of activities, the activities of emanations that suit the inclinations and needs of all beings arise continuously.

One strives solely for oneself or specifically aims for oneself. Here, the phrase "merely the happiness of existence" cuts off the middling person who strives for the basis of accomplishing the path to liberation. The word "oneself" cuts off the bodhisattva who strives for the benefit of others. The actual substance of this path is impermanence, faults, refuge, and karma and its results, the four topics of determination, and relying on a spiritual friend and the three aspects of the Dharma of leisure and endowment, which are made the foundation of the path. This is extensively explained in the previous commentaries on the Lamp for the Path. The second is: A person who, due to the difference in thought, sees beings from the peak of existence to the Avici hell as merely suffering beings under the control of karma and afflictions, and turns their back on existence without desiring it even in a dream; due to the difference in practice, by the power of that thought, abides in various practices of the three trainings that are the nature of turning away from all sinful actions and samsara; and due to the difference in result, strives only for the nirvana of the complete pacification of all suffering for oneself alone, is a middling person. Here, turning one's back on the happiness of existence refers to the truth of suffering. Turning away from sinful actions refers to the truth of origin. Merely pacifying oneself refers to the truth of cessation. The nature of turning away refers to the truth of the path. Therefore, for the middling person, from the perspective of vehicle, there are two: Hearers and Solitary Realizers. From the perspective of what is to be meditated upon, there are two: the Four Noble Truths and Dependent Origination. There are two: the common selflessness of the person and the meditation on the subtle. According to the Yogachara Madhyamaka Svatantrika and others, there is one who meditates on the two emptinesses and three. The third is: A person who, having well realized on their own mindstream how they are tormented by suffering, and with a mind that measures that way, cannot bear that other sentient beings are also suffering in the same way, and with the power of compassion, desires to exhaust all the suffering of others and its causes by all sorts of methods, that is supreme. In the commentary of Geshe Tsultrim Sengge it says: Or belonging to the Sangphu Svatantrika, that is, the suffering belonging to one's own mindstream, until sentient beings are not exhausted, wanting to bear all suffering, and so forth, is said to be the generation of aspirational bodhicitta. For this, from the perspective of view, there are Madhyamaka and Cittamatra. From the perspective of vehicle, there are the Sutra and Tantra.

Collected Teachings. Although many different path instructions were made in books such as the Blue Annals, here, the generation of the mind of enlightenment, the way to learn the conduct after generating the mind of enlightenment, and the identification of the results of what has been learned are summarized into three points. As it says, "Know that there are three types of individuals: small, medium, and supreme." And, "Whoever, by whatever means, seeks only the happiness of samsara, that person should be known as the lowest. Turning away from the happiness of existence, with a nature that turns away from sinful actions, whoever seeks only their own peace, that person should be known as the middling. Whoever completely wishes to eliminate the suffering of others with the suffering of their own mindstream, that person is the supreme one." So it is said. Furthermore, speaking in Chinese, knowing and repaying kindness, knowing the pure source of the Dharma, and being proficient in Sanskrit. The first is that even a beggar is called an Acharya. The second is that one understands through the stories of the Acharyas of the three realms. The third is that the translator Muru understands translators by relying on the Sanskrit vocabulary of the names of many sutras. If one develops familiarity with the path common to the small individual, one is called a person who has abandoned this life. For that, one needs four entrustments, three vajras, and the thought and action of attaining the three fruits. The mind must be entrusted to the Dharma, because one must contemplate the three roots of death. The Dharma must be entrusted to a beggar, but that is not just a beggar who wanders around; it refers to turning away from attachment to desires. Because that is how the door to happiness in future lives is opened. Therefore, there is no example of both Dharma and worldly affairs being accomplished simultaneously. The beggar must be entrusted to death, because although both rich and poor die, there is a great difference in dying after practicing the Dharma. Here, even if one becomes a beggar by cutting off the attachments of this life, one does not abandon the Dharma. What is needed is someone who does not abandon the Dharma even when the beggar ultimately faces death. Death must be entrusted to a dry rock, because the wealth and retinue of this life, at the time of death, only bring harm and do not bring benefit. That is indeed the case, because our teacher renounced the world, relied on an ascetic life, and for six years did not engage in any means of livelihood other than asceticism, and relied only on the banks of the Nairanjana River as a place to stay, so he accomplished those things.
