Q: Is there any contradiction in the fact that Buddhas and Bodhisattvas who have abandoned all afflictions, and those who have attained the qualities of the Buddha, such as the ten powers and fearlessness, reside here in an ordinary body? A: Just as one spits into a vessel when it is used for washing, but people eat food from it when it is used as a container, and offerings are made to it when it is used as an image. Similarly, the ordinary body, in its previous state of being stained by desire, hatred, and ignorance, is the cause of samsara, but later, because of the fully understood and fully purified nature, it becomes the cause of attaining omniscience, and there is no fault in that. Furthermore, it is unreasonable to say that the six yogas taught here and the six yogas taught in the Kalachakra Tantra are only similar in name but different in meaning, because here also, the appearance of ordinary phenomena is withdrawn and the appearance of wisdom is expanded, that is, withdrawn. When this is practiced to the extreme and the one-pointedness of mind is perfected, it is dhyana. Vajra recitation is life-force exertion. When the function of life-force exertion ceases, holding the empowerment is holding. Remembering the image of emptiness is mindfulness. Combining the two truths into one is samadhi. The Kalachakra Tantra also does not teach any other meaning different from this. Moreover, in the Seven Ornaments, the first, the number of initiations is five. This means: What is the name of this tantra? For what purpose was this tantra created? Who is the author? What is the extent of this tantra? What is the necessity of this word? Second, the method has four aspects. That is: the tantra and the basis of what is said, as well as the definitive word and the cause. This means: there are two distinctions between being free from desire and the dharma of desire. The first also has: tantra, the basis of what is said, the definitive word, and four causes. The first is that because they are untamed beings, it is only reasonable to assume similar births. The second is that since sentient beings cannot be tamed without relying on detachment from desire, it is necessary to emerge from the retinue of nuns. The third is that even when dwelling in solitude, desire arises, so in order to counteract that, one practices various disciplines of taming. The fourth is that there is a desire for the fruit.

The Bhagavan's practice of the Dharma, such as engaging in joy, is the cause, as it is the means to attain the result. The second also has four aspects. The first is that in order to purify the five pure aspects of consciousness, aggregates, wind, and great elements, the Bhagavan, the great Vajradhara, assumes the form of the five Tathagata families. The second is that the five families shown are conventional truth, and in order to reverse that, the great Vajradhara makes the nature of the two families one. These two are the perfection of self-benefit. The third is that because the realms and inclinations of sentient beings are diverse, in order to subdue them, the Vajra holds excellent weapons, which are also the purification of wisdom. The fourth is that the Bhagavan acts under the influence of wrath and attachment, and performs the gestures of the nine graces, such as coquetry, and shows them to others as well. The third is that the limit of the extensive explanation is sixfold. As it says: "The divisions are direct meaning, hidden meaning, definitive meaning, non-definitive meaning, literal sound, and non-literal sound. In the end, it is known as six." The first is that leading students of bad fortune away from the meaning of their own nature is enough to make it meaningful for them. The second is that for those fortunate ones who desire the supreme, the truth of the true meaning is shown as it is. The third is that because it cannot be expressed within a gathering of various inclinations, it is spoken with words that transcend the world. The fourth is that those of inferior faculties are not suitable vessels for teaching. However, those who are respectful to the guru, truthful, and respectful to the objects such as the Three Jewels, and who possess qualities such as generosity, are suitable vessels for that very truth. The Bhagavan shows that very truth with supreme clarity, which is not non-definitive. The fifth is that the rituals, concepts, and practices of the mandala are as explained by the words, and the meaning remains there. The sixth is that words like "cow" are known in the world, and words like "thus" are known in the scriptures, and the two styles of speech, such as "koti," are not known anywhere, so the Bhagavan speaks to logicians and...
