Like the Lotus King and others, this place is adorned with many wonderful arrangements of lands. There are five hundred great cities, sixteen great regions, a thousand small countries, thirty-two large countries, twenty-four sacred sites, eight great charnel grounds, three hundred and sixty ethnic groups, seven hundred and twenty languages, and other unimaginable things. To the east are China and Khotan. In China is the palace of the noble Manjushri, the lord of wisdom, and the great mountain Wutai. To the south are India and Kashmir. On the seashore is the palace of the noble Avalokiteshvara, the great mountain Potala. To the west are Tagde and Zigyan. The supreme place where the vidyadhara siddhas enjoy themselves as they please is the great Vajra Palace of Oddiyana. To the north are Khrom and Gesar. The sacred place Shambhala, where the Dharma kings of the lineage successively appeared, together with ninety-nine kotis of cities, is a distinct region. As Jamyang Sonam Wangpo said, "The best of the four continents is the southern Jambudvipa. The center of Jambudvipa is the Vajra Seat of India." As it is said, the northern land of snow, counted from the sacred site of India, the Vajra Seat, where all the Buddhas of the three times attain enlightenment and Buddhahood. In the Sutra Requested by the Immaculate Goddess, it says, "Two thousand five hundred years after my nirvana, in the land of the red-faced ones, the holy Dharma will flourish." As it is said, the land of Tibet is known as the land of the red-faced ones, or Tubo, a region surrounded by glorious snow mountains, transformed into the field of the noble Avalokiteshvara. From the Padma Jala Tantra: "In the past, in a time long ago, hundreds of millions of kalpas ago, the name of the Sugata, the fully enlightened Buddha, was Amitayus, who appeared in the world as a teacher, I recall. At that time, the Buddhas of the ten directions, bestowed upon me empowerment and prophecy. Later, when the guide named Shakyamuni, was born in the Sahā world, especially in the human world, for the sake of some who were born in the Yihadwags continent, in order to increase the lineage of the teachings, in the dark clouds of the night, like a flash of lightning, the vidyadhara, the eleven-faced one, limbs...

Having a thousand (eyes), having one thousand and thirty (eyes), a being with a long life will appear. As it is said in the teachings of Shakya Simha, in this Rakshasa continent of Tibet, in the field of taming of Avalokiteshvara with a thousand hands and a thousand eyes, as prophesied. Abundantly filled with a collection of precious qualities, as a sign that the blessings of the tutelary deity have entered the lineage, even children spontaneously utter the sound of the supreme six-syllable mantra. One of the twenty-four sacred places, the central region that holds the life force of the precious royal teachings. In this place known as Gangchen or Tibet, there are the three regions of Ngari in the upper part, the four Rus of U-Tsang in the middle, and the four rivers and six ranges of Do-Kham in the lower part. Such is the division. Especially, to exemplify a place like Lhundrub Teng, it belongs to the Lingta region of Do-smad, with six ranges: Bri-rdza Zal-mo-sgang, Tsha-ba-sgang, Smar-khams-sgang, Spo-'bor-sgang, Dmar-rdza-sgang, and Mi-nyag-ra-ba-sgang. Among them, the place known as Bri-rdza Zal-mo-sgang, to the south is the great river of Tsha-ba-rong, the Bri-klung is a river rich in gold, to the east is the blue Rdza-chu, and to the north is the bend of the Yellow River, the four great rivers of Kham flow gently. Among them, the river called Bri, is a great river rich in gold, on the banks where it flows, a place similar to the sacred place of Ogmin in the center of Tibet, is the widely known glorious Sakya Monastery. From there, towards the southeast, crossing a distance of about three days' journey. As it is said: Kings are very many, but those who act according to the Dharma are very few. Gods in the sky are many, but there are none like the bright sun and moon. Thus, on the vast land of Do-smad, it is a supreme place where great emanation Dharma kings have appeared in succession. In all directions around it, there is an umbrella above the head, golden fish by the ears, a conch shell for teeth, a victory banner on the body, etc., fully possessing the auspicious signs of the Buddha's presence on earth. The east is open, the south is concealed, the west is defended, and the north is protected. Land, stones, water, trees, or pastures, etc., possess the glory of the ten virtues of the region. Furthermore, the ridge in front resembles a crouching lion, proclaiming the high roar of the dual laws of governance and religion, causing the brains of wicked foxes to tremble.
