The Prayer for the Long Life of the Venerable Lama Ngawang Lekdrup Pal Zangpo, called "The Melodious Sound of Immortal Nectar." Om Swasti Siddhi Rastu. The cloud of speech's power, complete with wisdom, through virtuous deeds that arise in the hearts of fortunate disciples, skillfully showering down the rain of jewels of the two accomplishments, I pray that the peerless, glorious Lama may have a long life. 1. From the ocean of Manjushri's wisdom, the single sun of eloquence arises to dispel the darkness of existence; in order to extinguish the darkness, it radiates a thousand rays of Dharma light, may this light adorn the three realms. 2. The lotus moistened by the nectar born from the ocean, flourishes in the youthfulness that pleases the Victorious Ones; with the compassionate gaze of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, may you dwell in inseparable sameness. 3. Especially for those who have long held respectful, like-minded intentions, from the chariot that completely fulfills hopes, with a beautiful arrangement of vajra and jewel garlands, please freely bestow the desired benefits and happiness. 4. The nectar of the well-spoken words of Indian scholars, and the scriptures with the lineage of great compassion, having descended into this great river with eight qualities, I pray that you may always increase the bliss of the two benefits. 5. Furthermore, with the feast of completely bestowing the treasury of profound and vast instructions, may you be elevated by the unparalleled goodness in the world, and the wealth of the essence of Bodhi. 6. The bell-ringer who has accomplished the vajra mantra knowledge, and the reappearance of his conduct, etc., with well-composed verses and many tantras, I pray that you may always be pleasing to the ears of the wise. 7. In short, may all the circumstances of such prayers never be hindered by obstacles, and with the light of blessings that quickly accomplish, may the auspicious lotus fully bloom. 8.
