Allow him to enter the lotus throne. Offer lotus flowers with both hands filled. Speak words of joy to make others happy. Do not find fault with what makes people happy. Dedicate all merits for the benefit of all sentient beings. May the supreme Buddhas know how to attain Buddhahood. If one relies on these four virtues spoken by the Buddha, one will be born miraculously in the presence of the supreme Buddhas. It is also said: Scatter a handful of earth on the stupa. Wash the stupa with fragrant water, grains, and butter. Offer incense, flowers, and various musical instruments. Rely on the Khenpo and Acharya with joy. That person will possess the thirty-two marks of a great being. Extremely beautiful and endowed with all virtues. Whoever possesses supreme wisdom can adorn the country. These Dharmas will make him a great person. Also, in the Ornament of the Great Vehicle Sutras, it says: With wisdom and compassion, in order to perfect the two accumulations, offer clothes and other things to the Buddhas, either visibly or invisibly. May the appearance of the Buddhas be meaningful. Without clinging to the three, it is the perfection of offering to the Buddhas. It ripens limitless sentient beings. It differs in terms of material and mental aspects, as well as faith and aspiration, love and patience, correct conduct, establishment on the basis and realization, liberation and suchness. It is different in terms of cause and dedication, support and things, cause and, wisdom and pure lands, and the offering of places. It is divided into two aspects in terms of cause and effect, self and other, gain and respect, and practice. Offerings are small and large, with and without pride. It is understood from the aspects of union and conduct, and aspiration. Offering to the Buddhas in one's own mind, generating faith, thought, and freedom in the Dharma, without discrimination, completely holding with skillful means, and entering into the oneness of all and meaning is the most supreme. Such and so on are spoken. Regarding how to handle the objects offered to the Buddha, it is said in the Great Nirvana Sutra: At that time, joy.

Furthermore, Ananda asked the Blessed One, "If the Buddha is dwelling in the world, and patrons offer gold, silver, the seven precious substances, and many useful items to the Tathagata, how should they be managed?" The Blessed One replied to Ananda, "If the Buddha is present, whatever is offered to the Buddha should be given to the Sangha. If the Buddha has passed into nirvana, all that the patrons dedicate and offer to the Buddha should be used to purchase Buddha images, Buddha's robes, banners and parasols made of the seven precious substances, fragrant butter, and precious flowers to make offerings to the Buddha. It is not permissible to use them for anything other than making offerings to the Buddha. If they are used for other purposes, it is stealing the Buddha's property." Thus it was said. When the Buddha is visibly present, the results of actions are said to be the same, as stated in the sutra itself. Ananda further asked, "Blessed One, when the Buddha is present, if a person offers gold, silver, the seven precious substances, mansions, children, wives, servants, clothes, food, and all means of comfort, and pays homage with reverence and makes offerings; and after the Tathagata has passed into nirvana, if a person offers gold, silver, the seven precious substances, children, wives, servants, clothes, food, and all means of comfort to the image of the Tathagata, and pays homage with joy and reverence, making offerings, Blessed One, which of these two persons, offering with a joyful heart, obtains more merit?" The Blessed One replied to Ananda, "For these two persons, offering with such a joyful heart, there is no difference in the merit obtained. Why is that? Because even though the Buddha has passed into nirvana, the Dharmakaya is eternal. Offering with a joyful heart, the merit is the same, there is no difference." Ananda further asked, "Blessed One, when the Buddha is visibly present, if a person with a joyful heart, as mentioned above,

Offering with reverence, like longing, and, after the Buddha's nirvana, if someone with a pure mind, as mentioned before, with reverence, offers to the complete relics of the Buddha, World Honored One, which of these two people gains more merit? The World Honored One said to Ananda: The merit of these two people is equal, there is no difference. Merit is immeasurable and boundless, very vast, and until the end of suffering, merit will not be exhausted. Ananda asked again: World Honored One, when the Buddha is manifestly dwelling in the world, if someone with a faithful mind offers to the Tathagata with all the offerings mentioned above, and, after the Buddha's nirvana, if someone with a pure mind, with reverence, offers to half of the Tathagata's relics, World Honored One, which of these two people gains more merit? The World Honored One said to Ananda: If these two people offer with a pure mind, there is no difference in merit. The accumulation of merit is immeasurable and boundless. Ananda, if someone with a pure mind offers one-fourth of the Tathagata's relics, or one part of the sands of the Ganges, from a small amount to the size of a mustard seed, with a pure mind, with reverence, respectfully offers, and, if one offers to the Buddha who is manifestly dwelling in the world with reverence, the merit of these two people is completely the same without difference, it is immeasurable and boundless. Ananda, whether the Buddha is manifestly dwelling in the world or has passed into nirvana, whoever with a pure mind, with reverence, prostrates, takes as a teacher, respects, and offers, the merit gained by these two people is without difference, it should be known that there is no difference. Thus it is said. If building the three jewels of refuge and so on is the business of householders, not the business of renunciants. If it is said like this, the Buddha, the World Honored One, said that these are to be done by the fourfold assembly of disciples, therefore, it is also said that renunciants should do them, in that very Sutra.
