Offerings that are not directly perceived, offerings made by oneself, offerings caused to be made by others, offerings of gain and respect, vast offerings, offerings free from all defilements, and offerings of practice. Among these, when a Bodhisattva makes offerings to the very form body of the Tathagata, it is called making offerings to his body. Among these, when a Bodhisattva, for the sake of the Tathagata, makes offerings to a stupa or a temple, a ruined stupa or a new stupa, it is called making offerings to his stupa. Among these, when a Bodhisattva makes offerings directly to the body of the Tathagata or to the stupa of the Tathagata, which appears directly to the senses, it is called making offerings directly to him. Among these, when a Bodhisattva makes offerings directly to the stupa of the Tathagata, he manifests a mind endowed with superior intention and filled with joy. Whatever is the single nature of the Tathagata is the nature of all the Tathagatas of the past, future, and present. Whatever is the single nature of a stupa of the Tathagata is the nature of all the stupas of the Tathagatas. Therefore, offerings should also be made to this stupa that has become directly visible to the Tathagata. Offerings should also be made to all the Tathagatas of the past, future, and present. Offerings should also be made to this stupa of the Tathagata that has become directly visible. Furthermore, in those limitless and boundless world realms of the ten directions, offerings should also be made to all the stupas, ruined temples, old temple stupas, and new stupas that are present. Thinking in this way, one should understand that a Bodhisattva, for the time being, is making offerings solely to the Tathagata and the stupa of the Tathagata, both directly and indirectly. After the complete passing away of the Tathagata, for the sake of the Tathagata, the Bodhisattva makes offerings to the body or stupa of the Tathagata, or to a ruined temple, or to one or two temples, or from many up to hundreds of thousands of kotis, to the best of his ability and strength.

Moreover, a Bodhisattva's non-manifest stupa for the Tathagatas, possessing the fruit of immeasurable merit, is fully endowed with the merit of numerous Brahma gods. Therefore, a Bodhisattva will not fall into lower realms for many great kalpas, nor will it fail to perfect the accumulation of unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment. Therefore, a Bodhisattva who only makes offerings to the stupa of the Tathagata should be regarded as temporarily having vast merit. The fruit of merit from jointly offering to both manifest and non-manifest stupas should be regarded as even more vast. Therefore, a Bodhisattva who wishes to make offerings to the Tathagata or the Tathagata's stupa should do so with their own hands. If they rely on laziness, negligence, and carelessness, and have servants, maids, laborers, those who live by odd jobs, friends, advisors, and relatives by marriage do it, know that this is not an offering made by a Bodhisattva. Therefore, a Bodhisattva who wishes to make offerings to the Tathagata or the Tathagata's stupa should not only do it themselves, but also have their parents, children, spouses, servants, maids, laborers, those who live by odd jobs, friends, advisors, relatives, relatives by marriage, as well as other kings, ministers, Brahmins, householders, towns, those to be tamed, the wealthy, merchants, and even men, women, boys, girls, the hungry, the suffering, and even people of low caste do it. Similarly, they should also have Khenpos, Acharyas, fellow resident disciples, ordained Sangha members who practice like Brahma, and other non-Buddhist ordained practitioners make offerings to the Tathagata or the Tathagata's stupa. This is the Bodhisattva.

It should be understood that this is a common offering made by oneself and others. A Bodhisattva has a small item to offer, and with a compassionate mind, (thinking) that sentient beings are suffering, have little merit and are powerless, if I do something for the Tathagata or the Tathagata's stupa, it will be peaceful. After thinking this, he gives the item to other beings as it is, and other beings also offer the item to the Tathagata or the Tathagata's stupa. The Bodhisattva is the one who does the work, and it should be understood that this is an offering made solely by others for the Bodhisattva. Among them, what is done solely by oneself is the great fruit of merit. What is done solely by others is the greater fruit of merit. What is not done in common is the supreme fruit of merit, and it should be understood that it is unparalleled. Among them, the Bodhisattva offers clothes or food to the Tathagata or the Tathagata's stupa, as well as bedding, cushions, medicine and implements, respectfully speaks, prostrates, gazes, joins palms, and offers burning incense, incense powder, perfume, and various flower garlands, and various musical sounds, and umbrellas, victory banners, flags, various lamps, and various praises, and prostrations with five limbs, and circumambulation to the right, etc., and thus offers inexhaustible generosity, and offers jewels, pearls, lapis lazuli, conch shells, coral, coral, gemstone essence, turquoise, gold, silver, red lotus jewels, and right-spiraling conch shells, etc., and offers earrings and bracelets adorned with jewels, and armlets, etc., and finally offers bells, and gives karshapanas, and makes offerings by wrapping them with scales, etc. This is the Bodhisattva's offering of gain and respect to the Tathagata or the Tathagata's stupa.
