. Having obtained the Dharma that is well seen with the divine eye. As it is proclaimed, I will give up my life and thoughts, and this will be my teacher to show us, and it is appropriate to listen to the Dharma. We four may be, or three may be, friends of the teacher. For the sake of the arising of the holy Dharma for those who are endowed with life, it is better to give up life completely. Having said that. King of the Gandharvas, at that time, you should always protect those sons or daughters of good family who are fond of the holy Dharma. Son of good family, whoever desires the Dharma, and monks and nuns, and male or female lay practitioners, many may be, two may be, or one may be, those sentient beings, having heard the prophecy of my disciples, for the sake of helping the monks of my disciples to teach the Dharma, those sentient beings who are dwelling are the companions of all the Tathagatas and enter the holy Dharma. Those sentient beings possess the power of the non-divine, the body of the non-realm, and the inconceivable body, and truly see all forms. King of the Gandharvas, at that time, when my holy Dharma community is disappearing, he will be the last to appear. There is no other disciple like him. Having said that. The Noble Great Drum Sutra. Then, the Blessed One spoke to Mahakashyapa, saying: Kashyapa, you cannot be like a field guard, but like a field guard, a skillful youth who, having heard this sutra, will take hold of his body and manifest it in the world. I have placed him on the seventh ground and blessed him as an ordinary person. When the teachings decline at the age of eighty, in the south, in the country called the Ganges, which is a city on the bank of the river that cannot be conquered by armies, and in the nearby great town, he will be born in the lineage called Kayori and become a monk bearing my name, skilled in the means of guarding the field. After ordaining among my lazy yogis, he will gather these things together, find this sutra, and keep it in mind.

Having purified the Sangha, first, completely abandoning the great foundation of what is unsuitable, one will completely proclaim the great Dharma. As stated in the Great Drum Sutra, one will blow the Dharma conch, erect the Dharma banner, and proclaim the great Dharma drum. Secondly, one will speak of the emptiness of the Great Vehicle Sutra. Thirdly, one will speak of the permanence of the realm of sentient beings, and the words of the Great Drum Sutra. One will beat the great drum of the great Dharma, one will blow the conch of the great Dharma, one will erect the banner of the Dharma, and I will manifestly wear the robes. Later, having heard this sutra, one's age will become great, and for eighty years one will speak the words of this sutra and rain down the rain of Dharma. After eighty years, among the people of the south, with great miraculous powers, one will manifest transformations and show complete passing into Nirvana. Alas! Bhikshu, all seeing joy! Steadfast Bhikshu, having transformed his form, for a long time will cause the teachings to arise, and will beat the great drum of Dharma. After he has completely passed into Nirvana, for a while the world will become empty. After that Dharma speaker has passed away, no other like him will arise. Such a Bhikshu is difficult to find, and gradually the light will diminish. Thus, he is the last to appear in the south. At the time when the sacred Dharma is declining, that Dharma speaker will appear. Thus it was said.
