He listened to countless instructions. From the age of thirteen, he devoted himself to studying various scriptures and treatises, listening to the glorious Guhyagarbha Tantra, the Uttaratantra, Semnyid Ngalso (Resting the Mind in its Natural State), the root text and commentary of the Yidzhin Dzö (Wish-Fulfilling Treasury), and so on, and also taught them to others. In particular, he regarded the collected works of the Omniscient Great Scholar as the eyes for viewing, and listened and studied diligently, thereby shedding the skin of mere superficial understanding and attaining a measure of realization of the true nature of reality through meaning. Thereafter, in various circumstances, he spent years, six months, or at least a month at a time in the secluded places of great sites such as Chimphu and Yamalung. By practicing Guru Drakpo, Vajrasattva, the Eight Herukas of Kagyé, and Yangphur, he had limitless visions and prophecies, as recorded in his secret biography. At the age of eighteen, from Yamalung, he revealed the profound treasure of the cycle of teachings of the Rigdzin Thugthig (Heart Drop of the Vidyadharas), including the mother and son teachings, along with the series of blessings of maturation and liberation. From the age of twenty-one, he was revered as the supreme guru of the Great Fifth Dalai Lama and Desi Sangye Gyatso, and each year he received many rituals for averting obstacles, empowerments, and teachings, especially many Kama and Terma teachings. In particular, he listened to many rare and precious teachings that were indispensable to the Nyingma tradition and were on the verge of extinction, and through great effort, he initiated the tradition of listening, teaching, and practice, thus continuing the lineage. In order to make the offerings of the patrons and benefactors meaningful, and according to the treasure prophecy: 'Especially in the pure land of Yuru, a community gathered in one place, in the future the teachings will greatly flourish, and the happiness of Tibet will rise to the sky.' As prophesied, in the Fire Dragon year (referring to a specific Fire Dragon year), he began to build the Ögyen Mindrolling Monastery, a community of practitioners, and gradually constructed three main temples. The Sangha initially consisted of only about eight monks, but later grew to nearly three hundred, who were placed under the discipline of the three vows, and who continuously engaged in the three activities of learning, contemplation, and meditation with unwavering devotion. The monastery's residences, the three supports (body, speech, and mind), offerings, and the elaborate rituals for many mandalas were
