At the age of eleven, he completed all the empowerment lineages and instructions of illusion. At twelve, he learned the 'Five Stages of Kakanipa,' and over a hundred methods of practice, and practiced the Vajrasattva mantra. At thirteen, he listened to and practiced many new and old teachings, such as the two lineages of Yangdak and Mahā Yamāntaka, and Hayagriva, etc. (Vol. 1, p. 617) At the age of thirteen, in a visionary experience, Jomo Dolma led him to the top of a crystal palace, where he met Vajrasattva. Then, a four-faced dakini, from the white face in front, said: 'Saṃsa (Tibetan: སངསར, Sanskrit Devanagari: Saṃsa, Sanskrit Romanization: Saṃsa, Literal Chinese meaning: Rebirth), you hold the teachings on the right.' From the yellow face on the right, she said: 'You will make the Dharma flourish.' From the red face in the back, she said: 'You will elevate the status of the Sangha.' From the blue face on the left, she said: 'You will subdue the difficult-to-tame in evil times.' After saying this, she gave him a white five-pronged scepter. At the age of fourteen, he went to Trogyang near Mount Kailash (Tise). He studied the great treatises such as Pramana (Logic), Abhidharmasamuccaya (Compendium of Abhidharma), Bodhicaryāvatāra (Guide to the Bodhisattva's Way of Life), Hevajra Tantra, and the instructions of Mahamudra, Dzogchen, Shije (Pacification), and the Six Dharmas. From Mthahkorwa, he learned Uma Dechung (Madhyamaka Great Bliss), and from Tsurton father and son, he learned the Atiyoga teachings, etc., practicing the new and old Sutras and Tantras through listening, contemplation, and meditation. From his father, he heard all the teachings of Shije, Mahamudra, Chöd, pith instruction, and wrathful mantras of Dharma protectors, and integrated them into his practice. At the age of seventeen, he met Ngadak Drogon and became the holder of the infinite treasure teachings of Nyang Rinpoche Nyima Özer. At the age of eighteen, at Gnaszhi Gangpor in Tsepang, he generated Bodhicitta, held a Dharma assembly in Gyangser, and received consecration at the stupa of Lhalung Monastery. That night, he dreamed that he went to Mount Wutai in China to find the Udumbara flower. On a blue lotus, the noble Manjushri said: 'Jñānakāyadharmahūṃ (Tibetan: ཛྙཱ་ན་ཀཱ་ཡ་དྷ་རྨཱ་ཧུ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: ज्ञानकायधर्महु, Sanskrit Romanization: jñānakāyadharmahūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Wisdom Body Dharma Hūṃ.) I am the Lord of Dharma. I am your mind. (Vol. 1, p. 618) Mind is the door of Dharma, inconceivable. The inconceivable door of Dharma is the single bindu of self-arisen wisdom. The meaning of the eighty-four thousand Dharmas has been explained to you; contemplate its meaning.' As soon as he finished speaking, he woke up from his dream and gained the definitive understanding of having attained all the Dharmas. He was extremely proficient in Hetuvidya (Logic) and Abhidharma, so he was known as Drapa Ngönshé (Monk who knows Abhidharma), the great holder of the treasury, Tertön Naldjor.

The catalog taken from Samye by Kyi Wangpo was passed down in succession and obtained at the age of thirteen. During that time, relying on that catalog, many foolish and biased people tried to extract (the treasure), some died, and some were scattered by hailstones. If that catalog was placed inside, miraculous changes could not stop it. Even if it was discarded on roads, crossroads, in water, and underground, it would not disappear due to natural disasters, and it could not be caught, so it was named "Lost Yellow Paper." The father said, "What is the use of the lost yellow paper that loses everything? Is it buying death?" After saying that, he snatched it away and hid it elsewhere. Later, at the age of twenty-two, he stole it and traveled with an enlightened Chögyal practitioner. Relying on him, he again took the catalog from the one with the sky ladder. When he went to extract the treasure, the treasure guardian, the nine-headed Naga demon, and the wisdom dakini, two dakinis with the appearance of a mother, handed over the key. After opening the wonderful door, a treasure essence as large as a vulture and a garuda appeared. Riding on it, above the thirteen levels of succession, in a tent surrounded by rainbow light (upper part, 619), he saw the Buddha Vajrasattva, received the empowerment of the power of awareness, and was entrusted with the nectar vase. Then, according to the treasure catalog, he opened the door, and a cubit-long nine-headed Naga demon of wrathful water appeared, as well as a copper gau box containing frogs, snails, lice, etc. From the dragon's image came four transmission lineages, and from the copper gau box came one hundred and eight key instructions, and so on. After that, he successively mastered the eighteen great treasures represented by the root, perfection, and heart essence. Those were also taken out in front of fortunate people, accompanied by great and wonderful phenomena. Moreover, mostly the oath was proclaimed to the treasure revealers, and those who were more qualified than others were ordered to extract the treasures without dispute.
