Because 'transformation' is not the manifestation of meaning, whatever is newly known, whether its own nature exists or not, that was previously unknown, is the nature of प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition), because that is the intention and meaning of the nature. Why? Because the self-nature, as the subject, is a universally accepted प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition), you need to know whether it exists or not, because the definitive knowledge that arises from it examines its existence or non-existence. Applying this to the specific case: Third, the Bhagavan is the subject, is the very person प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition), because he is the person who possesses the nature of not deceiving those to be tamed. Most Tibetans explain this as the meaning of possessing both natures, because the earlier treatises identified the meaning of प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition) in the homage of the Sutra, and the later treatises did not understand the meaning of avoiding contradiction with other treatises. Explaining the necessity of mentioning 'transformation': Second, explaining the necessity of mentioning 'transformation' has three points: 'Transformation' is mentioned to refute self-origination, proving that प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition) depends on means, and explaining the refutation of self-origination in detail. Mentioning 'transformation' to refute self-origination: First, it would be sufficient to praise it as प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition), why mention 'transformation'? Because it is necessary that 'transformation' is mentioned in the homage of the Sutra, because it is to refute the self-originated प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition) that does not arise from its own cause. Proving that प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition) depends on means: Second, the Bhagavan is the subject, because it is reasonable that he is प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition) by relying on diligence in the साधन (sādhana, means) that is not inverted, because any person प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition) has already refuted the self-originated प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition). Explaining the refutation of self-origination in detail: Third, there are four points: refuting the permanent self-originated प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition), refuting the impermanent self-originated प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition), refuting the argument for the existence of self-origination, and refuting the function of self-nature itself. Refuting the permanent self-originated प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition): First, it is unreasonable to mention 'transformation' in order to refute the permanent प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition), because Īśvara is the permanent प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition) that is established by its own nature. Īśvara is the subject, it is not the permanent प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition), because only the cognition of existing things is प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition), and as the impermanence of knowable things, the cognition of its object is also unstable. If प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition) is impermanent, but the person of प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition) is permanent, and प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition) arises from him? Then, the प्रमाण (pramāṇa, valid cognition) that arises in sequence is the subject, it is unreasonable to arise from the permanent person, because it is unreasonable, the permanent person will make you... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Because permanence should not depend on conditions, and permanence is not affected by any aspect of conditions. Refuting the Self-Arisen Valid Cognition: Secondly, if Ishvara (自在天) is permanent and established by its own nature, then it is a valid cognition at all times. However, such an Ishvara (自在天), as a subject, you cannot be consistent with the term 'exists' because there is no valid cognition that proves your existence. Refuting the Proof of the Existence of the Self-Arisen: The third part has two points: stating the position and refuting it. Stating the Position: Firstly, the absence of a valid cognition to prove Ishvara (自在天) is not established. Because the world's position, body, enjoyment, etc., are preceded by an excellent intelligent being, because they abide and function, like a pillar; because they possess differences in shape, like a palace; because they are capable of action, like an axe. Such things that possess number and measure are the reasons for proving it. The excellent intelligent being can only be Ishvara (自在天). Refuting It: The second part has two points: refuting by examining the meaning to be proven, and refuting by examining the means of proof. Refuting by Examining the Meaning to be Proven: Firstly, abiding and functioning, etc., as a subject, are not valid reasons for proving that the world's position is preceded by an excellent intelligent being. If it is merely proven that the world's position is preceded by human intelligence, then it becomes proving the Buddhist's view that the world arises from karma, which becomes proving what has already been proven. If it is proven that it is created by Ishvara (自在天), then the example is not established. Refuting by Examining the Means of Proof: The second part has four points: showing that the general reason is mistaken, refuting by examining the specific shape, excluding other similar things in the same way, and explaining the implications of what is established by it. Showing That the General Reason is Mistaken: Firstly, abiding and functioning, etc., as a subject, you doubt the pervasiveness of the world's position being created by Ishvara (自在天), because they are not necessarily created by Ishvara (自在天) alone. Refuting by Examining the Specific Shape: The second part has two points: refuting by examining the meaning of shape, and refuting by examining the name of shape. Refuting by Examining the Meaning of Shape: The first part has three points: the shape with differences is not established --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
