Through familiarity with practice, one will definitely recognize the Bardo and be liberated from it, this is the sign of liberation. Ultimately, the dreams of negative habitual patterns will completely cease, and one will only dream of good things, this is the sign of breathing out into the Nirmāṇakāya of one's own nature. The signs appearing in the three doors are: As a sign of seeing the manifest appearance of Dharmatā, the body does not remain in activity, and because the pulse is slow, it is motionless like a turtle placed in its shell. Speech, because it has purified the basis of expression, is like a mute person, unwilling to speak. The mind, because it realizes self-liberation without attachment, remains in meditation like a Ḍākinī entering sleep. As a sign of seeing the increasing experience, the prāṇa dissolves into the central channel, and there is no discrimination between good and bad, so the body, like a man afflicted by illness, does not groom or adorn itself. Speech transcends negation and affirmation, and like a madman blurting out his own words, speaks nonsense randomly. The mind, because the collection of thoughts dissolves into its own place, is like a person who has been poisoned seven times and knows that he will surely die, and is determined not to turn back to recollection. The three signs of the perfection of wisdom are: The body, because it has mastered the channels and prāṇa, is like an elephant stuck in the mud pulling itself out with its own strength, and is unobstructed and unattached to the five elements, passing through them freely. Speech, because it knows that it transcends expression, is like a child in a pottery jar singing a song, attracting and delighting others, and inspiring faith in them. The mind, because it realizes the meaning of primordial purity, original liberation, and the absence of a basis for re-creation, is like a person cured of smallpox, believing that he will not return to the three realms. As a sign of seeing the exhaustion of phenomena, the body, because it has purified the tangible, is like a corpse in a charnel ground, without fear or apprehension even if an executioner appears. Speech, because it realizes the inexpressible, and expression ceases, is completely exhausted like an echo in a valley, repeating the words of others. The mind, because it has purified without attachment or residual thoughts, is able to attain enlightenment in an instant, like the dissipation of mist in the sky. Furthermore, in the Root Tantra it says: Measure by the three abidings, the reversal of dreams, and body, speech, and mind, the signs and measures must be determined. Incidentally, it is also necessary to know this: In short, the meaning spoken in the Tantras is that for some who are dull-witted and grasp appearances as real, and for some who only look at the literal meaning and cannot understand deeply, the body is able to emanate into various forms, appear in various colors, and appear in shadows or mirrors.

If illusions of a second moon appear, or if one thinks they can know the minds of others, visualize wrathful deities, recite fierce mantras, sing the "Hum" song, burn gugul incense, and wash without beginning or end with large and small amritas. Smear the limbs with clay from old pottery. If other obstacles appear disguised as gurus or yidams, dispel them by meditating on bodhicitta and emptiness. In particular, if it is not a pure wisdom dakini, but various karma dakinis who show forms from the sky and make prophecies, they will only accomplish common siddhis. This will be known as a sign of not being genuine, and attachment and aversion, acceptance and rejection, etc., will increase more than before. If it goes more and more against the Dharma, then one is under the control of the dakini. By resting in equanimity on the meaning of selflessness, the dakini will be under my control and will not be able to deceive. These are said to be signs of obstructing maras. Therefore, one must carefully examine the differences between experiences and signs without confusing them, and strive not to let obstructing maras control oneself. Furthermore, due to the combination of wind and mind, unreliable samadhi may arise suddenly, or uncertain appearances of deities and lights may appear in the sky, which are called signs of decline. In such cases, one should sometimes sit in the middle of water, with the neck submerged up to sixteen fingers above a wooden plank, anoint the body with sandalwood and sesame oil, and rely on cooling foods. By reciting the essence of unborn mind, the letter "A," etc., one can turn the errors in experience back onto the correct path. Moreover, if the body is extremely pliant and one has gained control over the limbs, the body will be as soft as cotton, with a good complexion. There will be no white hair or wrinkles, the growth of hair and nails will cease, the five buddha families' seals will appear on the body, the shapes of letters will appear clearly on the body, youth will be restored, white hair will turn black, and new flesh will grow, etc. Similarly, truth will be accomplished in speech, what is said will benefit others, no false words will arise, various dharmas will be known spontaneously, stories and various sounds will be known, the teachings of shravakas, pratyekabuddhas, and bodhisattvas will be heard, and the breath will cease to flow in and out, etc., and the mind will enter into samadhi.
