This has two parts: how it surpasses Trekchö, and the actual explanation of the particularly excellent path. First, this path is shown to be superior through seven distinctions: Trekchö cannot purify the objects of illusory appearance such as stones, trees, mountains, and rocks, but Tögal has the distinction of purifying appearances into the five lights. Similarly, Trekchö merely ascertains that the originally luminous awareness is empty and clear, but there is nothing further to see. Here, by applying the essential points, the expanse of wisdom is opened, and the radiance of reality is seen. In the former, one seeks purity by abandoning attachment to the impure appearances of the six senses. Here, the door of pure luminosity is opened by the wind of wisdom, and with the unobstructed senses, one enjoys the appearance of the four lamps in which space and wisdom are inseparable. In the former, relying on the coarse channels and energies, there are many obstacles and deviations, and it also depends on the strength of the elements and the age of the practitioner. Here, merely binding the three immovable points, one transcends the effort of grasping and manipulating the channels and energies of ultimate wisdom as the path. Since the coarse is to be abandoned, everything is exhausted, and the body is liberated into a luminous body. In the former, even if liberation is possible without appearances reaching their full measure, the body merely disintegrates into particles, and it is impossible to transform into a luminous body. Therefore, one may only achieve a illusory body or the birth of exhaustion, and one cannot attain the ultimate ground. Here, one attains the ultimate ground by transforming into a luminous body. If one does not obtain the body of the Great Transference, which possesses eyes, clairvoyance, and miraculous powers, one cannot accomplish great benefit for others with that basis. Here, by obtaining the vajra body of the Great Transference, one can also accomplish great benefit for others with that basis. Among the three divisions of Ati, the Mind Division merely opens up self-clarity, and the Space Division merely generates certainty in the groundlessness. Both of these do not directly see awareness, and the three sections of the Instruction Division merely rely on the bardo. 能解脱的关键所在的七种殊胜之处，是全知龙钦父子所说的。同样，从掘藏大师不变金刚的伏藏授记中说：显现光明的殊胜，修持融入实修的殊胜，自性要点显现的殊胜，身要点脉的殊胜，所见根的殊胜，自明觉境的殊胜，体验觉受增长的殊胜，这七种殊胜之处，是超越其他（法门）的殊胜之处。如是说。

The seven distinctions that are key to liberation are spoken of by the omniscient Longchen Rabjam and his son. Similarly, from the terma prophecy of the great treasure revealer Gyurme Dorje, it says: The distinction of the appearance of light, the distinction of practice being integrated into practical application, the distinction of the self-essence being directly perceived, the distinction of the body-essence channels, the distinction of seeing faculties, the distinction of self-awareness's object, the distinction of the proliferation of experience and realization—these seven distinctions are superior to others. Thus it is said.
