Through clarity, it appears as the pure lands of the five Buddhas. By liberating from the clinging to materiality, one's own body swirls into a wheel of light. By liberating from the clinging to practice, the signs and marks become clear either sequentially or simultaneously. When the wind of wisdom is grasped in the hand, it condenses into five lights. When that wind itself swirls into the expanse, upon the crown of the head, nine or five-tiered bindus appear. All appearances are the self-radiance of compassion. As a sign that the subtle winds that agitate inner awareness must be exhausted, the bindu in the center of the heart appears marked with the letter A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A). Awareness, the self-radiance of the nature of reality, pacifies in the heart, and from the appearance of the mandala of the wrathful Herukas, the radiance of peaceful wisdom emerges into the subtle light channels, and within the body and in the pores of the skin, forms and bindus appear. Everything is perfected as the essence of the Sambhogakaya Buddha-fields, so in each tiny atom of the fields, there are inconceivable peaceful Vajradhatu mandalas, and the radiance of wrathfulness emerges from the light channels of the Brahma aperture, and all above and below is clear as the mandala of the playful blood-drinkers. Thus, from the heart of all the subtle and minute forms, to one's own heart, and likewise, from forehead to forehead, from face to face, etc., the parts of the body are connected to the A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A) in the heart by threads of five-colored light, and thus one also obtains the empowerment of great light rays. Speech is liberated into clarity, free from faults such as stuttering, muteness, blockage, and sharpness, and is melodious like the voice of Brahma. The nature of mind, awareness, is liberated and dissolves into its own clear light, so the illusion of grasping and being grasped subsides. Because the channels and winds are purified, the sudden aggregates dissolve, and the manifest gross connection between body and mind reverses. Because the connection of karma and habitual tendencies is severed, the mind of pervasive thought, the intellect, and the various consciousnesses subside. Because the Dharmadhatu is stainless and self-illuminating, one possesses the six clairvoyances, such as knowing the minds of others. Because the mind of appearance or the eye is completely purified, one sees the realms beyond obstructions and the immeasurable realms of the Victorious Ones. Because the mind of emptiness is completely purified, one gains mastery over immeasurable doors of wisdom and samadhi. From the root tantra: When awareness reaches its limit, through appearance, the signs and marks of the Sambhogakaya become clear, from indefinite rainbow colors.

The five families (of Buddhas) appear as father and mother, then five and five are paired. Connected by supremely clear bindus, possessing the form of father and mother. When deluded appearances cease, it is the pure land. Furthermore, as stated in "The Lamp Illuminating": The measure of extremely accurate habituation is the absence of movement and swaying, and the absence of day and night appearances. This is the measure of supreme habituation. Moreover, when the appearances of the four elements cease, the light of the five colors appears. Wherever one looks, it appears there. This is the measure of the stability of the expanse. Furthermore, on top of one's own body of light, like a tiered palace, when tiered bindus rise upwards, this is the measure of the stability of the lamp. Furthermore, one's own appearances arise as the body, like a rainbow. In the gaps resembling letters, within bindus the size of mustard seeds, the body appears extremely subtle. When all appearances arise as the body, this is the measure of the stability of awareness. Moreover, in "The Burning of the Corpse," it says: Whoever is habituated to the light of what, in the realm of one's own vision, the appearances of earth, water, fire, and wind naturally subside, and one gradually enjoys the five colors. This is the sign of being inseparable from light. Furthermore, in the realm of vision, like a madman, without obstruction, one can pass through mountains and rocks, and similarly, one can penetrate the depths of the earth, and one does not sink in water. Furthermore, in "The Root Tantra," it says: From the dust particles of each body, the star holes of the light of space appear. From them, the shapes of light rays like iron hooks appear, holding the subtle and entwined appearances. The grossness of the body naturally ceases, becoming a clear and stainless body of light. In the center is the mark of the letter A(藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:阿), and the hair between the eyebrows emits light, measuring about one fathom. The crown of hair appears to be lifted by the wind. The peaceful body, from the fingertips of the hands, is entwined with garlands of light. This is the activity of the silent mind. The head is the palace of the skull, and the Herukas manifest. At this time, one's own body reaches the measure. Furthermore, when the connection between body and mind is severed, even for the body that has exhausted defilements, the mind, which is the characteristic of outward manifestation, is also clearly seen in the realm of space, like a shooting star. Thus it is said. Having become accustomed in this way, even without practice, one reaches the measure. Therefore, there is no change, and ultimately, one recognizes the Sambhogakaya, thereby attaining Buddhahood without the bardo, and reaching the Sambhogakaya pure land.
