First, the preliminary practice of body training. From 'Transcending Thought': Before the body goes, the causes of individual actions cease. Together with the vajra posture, body training benefits the mind. It is said that if you strike the key points of the body, you can distinguish the clarity and turbidity of the mind. There are two vajra postures, standing and sitting. The former is: with the heels of the feet together, plant the ten fingers on the ground, spread the two knees outward, straighten the spine, join the two palms together above the head without touching it, bend the elbows, and press the Adam's apple with the throat. Contract the body and visualize it as a blue, burning three-pointed vajra. This will make the body feel tired and sore, and when it cannot support itself, let the body relax naturally, which will generate warmth and the mind will abide in non-thought. At that time, maintain that state. If the previous posture feels tiring, then adopt the latter, the unchanging vajra posture, like a vajra, with the body upright, stopping the moving air. Joining the soles of the feet together empties the male, female, and neuter energies, and abides in great luminosity. Pressing the heels against the perineum empties the basis of desire. Joining the palms together above the head is said to train the key points of the body, so alternate these postures, and finally, when feeling tired and wanting to rest, say "ཧལ་"(Tibetan, Devanagari: हल्, Romanized Sanskrit: hal, Literal Chinese meaning: Hal), and let your awareness rise into the sky. Let the body fall as it may, relaxing naturally like a corpse in a cemetery. You must maintain the self-nature of non-thought and non-imagination for a long time. In both of these postures, the three upward points of the vajra represent essence, nature, and compassion, and the three downward points represent the three bodies. The waist being united represents original purity and spontaneous accomplishment, symbolizing the oneness of essence. By training the body in this way, you can distinguish the clarity and turbidity of the mind, and commonly eliminate the sins and obscurations of the body. Seeing the burning vajra pacifies the obstacles of evil spirits. In particular, it prevents attachment to the body in samsara, so you will not fall into samsara and the lower realms in the future. Ultimately, you will be liberated into a state indistinguishable from the nirmanakaya. The body matures into the vajra body, and thus enters nirvana. Speech training. Blessing. iv8 Blessing the external appearances. Second is language training. From 'Transcending Thought': Language abides in "ཧཱུྃ"(Tibetan, Devanagari: हुं, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum), the blessing and training of skills, entering the path of gentle seeking.

Thus, speech practice benefits the mind. As it is said, there are four: expanding, training, searching, and entering the path. The first also has two aspects, outer and inner. The first, expanding the outer appearance, is as follows: Sit in seclusion in the lotus position. Visualize a blue Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ) at the heart center. Hūṃ Hūṃ Hūṃ) in a melodious and prolonged manner. From the Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ) at the heart center, countless Hūṃs (藏文:ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ) arise continuously. Houses and dwellings, cities and countries, the universe and empty space, to the extent that the mind cannot comprehend, are filled with Hūṃs (藏文:ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ) buzzing and shimmering. Visualize that all appearances, both stable and moving, dissolve into Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ). Unite the three, wind, appearance, and consciousness, into one with Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ). Recite with lips barely touching, and imagine the natural sound of Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ) resounding like a collapsing beehive. By repeatedly and undistractedly practicing in this way, all that appears becomes a sign of the expansion of Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ), all appearances become blurred and manifest as the nature of Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ). Through this, the outer realm of appearance will be liberated into emptiness. Expanding the inner body. The second is expanding the inner body. As before, by uttering the long Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ), the outer Hūṃs (藏文:ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ) arise one after another in succession. All of them enter the body through the sense gates. Visualize the entire inside of the body being filled, so that flesh, blood, and internal organs become indistinguishable and purified. By holding the breath, the body becomes a sign of the expansion of Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ), the inside of the body is filled with the shimmering light of Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ), and a feeling of discomfort arises. Through this, the elements of the body are purified, and the heavy body is liberated into the uncontaminated. Training. Training the outer appearance. The second is training, which also has two aspects, outer and inner. The first is training the outer appearance. By uttering the Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ) sound forcefully, briefly, and with vigor, from the Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ) at the heart center, a sharp and swift dark blue Hūṃ (藏文:ཧཱུྃ།,梵文天城体:हुं,梵文罗马拟音:hūṃ,汉语字面意思:Hūṃ) with great power emanates, its size corresponding to the object being pierced, spreading like lightning. For any appearance of obstruction or contact, such as mountains and rocks, visualize that upon mere contact, it is completely penetrated inside and out, without any obstruction, as if struck by lightning. The sign of mastering this is that all outer appearances become clear and empty, and a sense of emptiness and lack of inherent existence arises.
