Those other beings in those places, such as the Victorious Dondrup (Tibetan: དོན་གྲུབ་, meaning: Meaningful Achievement) and the like, as a group of six, will attain the fruit of being free from obscurations. The two, the sun and the moon, fall into the mouth of Rahu. The two purifiers, upward and downward, also fall into the fire of time. May they always move together, becoming the wind of wisdom. May all life strive to perfect all the limbs of vital energy. May Dondrup and the others attain Buddhahood! May the life-force wind be stable in the central channel, becoming the holding branch. Second, regarding the limb of holding that stabilizes, there are six aspects: the characteristics of holding, the timing of meditation, the limbs of the method of meditation, the signs of meditation, the distinction between what is to be purified and what purifies, and the fruit attained by meditation. The characteristics of holding: First, in the 'King of Tantras' it says: 'Life enters completely into the bindu, destroying the movement of both, holding the single-pointed hero.' In the commentary it says: 'Here, “into the bindu” means the forehead, life enters completely, destroying the movement of both, which means being free from going and coming, the single-pointed hero, which is holding life in the forehead.' This is said to be the characteristic of holding. In the later tantra it also says: 'By arising and entering, it diminishes, and again by the limb of holding, it enters the bindu.' Also, from the 'Commentary on the Praise of Bliss': 'Then, what is called “holding” is the navel, the heart, the throat, and the forehead, the circles of power, water, fire, and wind, where life enters, without going outward, life abiding in the bindu, this is called the limb of holding.' In the small text of Shawa Ri it says: 'When the life-wind enters the bindu, the wind-mind abides in the great bliss wheel, holding in the bindu of “Hum” (藏文:ཧཾ་,梵文天城体:हं,梵文罗马拟音:haṃ,汉语字面意思:Hum), this is the limb of holding.' Therefore, in vase breathing, there are ten circles in the navel, and the mass where life and downward-cleansing air are mixed as one, from the navel to the heart, throat, forehead, crown, and then curving downward to the space between the eyebrows, gradually going upward, without going out from the nostrils, one can hold the life without obstruction in the forehead for a long time, therefore it is called the limb of holding. The timing of meditation: Second, the timing of meditation is: when the life-wind constantly flows into the central channel above the navel, and the downward-cleansing air flows downward like a conch shell, the navel wheel is able to combine and mix the life-wind and the downward-cleansing air, then one should meditate on the limb of holding. The method of meditation: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Regarding the branch of holding the breath, there are four aspects: the object to be held, the necessity of practicing holding the breath, the duration of practicing holding the breath, and the manner of practicing holding the breath. Firstly, as stated in the 'Whispered Transmission': 'The object is the wind of bliss itself; it is held by holding it firmly.' Therefore, the wind of bliss that keeps the bindu (thigle) from moving, by uniting the upward-moving life-wind and the downward-moving cleansing wind in the navel, is the object to be meditated upon. Secondly, it is practiced for the sake of increasing the great bliss of the Bodhicitta (byang sems) bindu from above, which does not move, and these are the necessity and meaning of the life-force exertion. As it is also said in the 'Whispered Transmission': 'In order to make the wind and mind very stable, the branch of holding should be meditated upon.' Thirdly, one should meditate until the wind and mind are seized at the center of the forehead wheel, and until the initial heat of the tummo (gtum mo) fire arises in the navel. After that, one should meditate on recollection. Fourthly, there are four aspects: the certainty of the place of meditation, the certainty of the posture of the body, the certainty of the way of looking, and the certainty of the way of meditating. The first three are to be done as in the case of life-force exertion. The fourth has three parts: First, mixing the fierce wind, life-wind, and downward-moving wind to ignite the tummo fire in the navel; mixing them and meditating on union at the center of the wheels to accomplish immortality; and as a branch of that, accomplishing freedom from disease by the nectar-tongue union in the wheels. First, the body posture is in the vase posture, and the speech is the union of winds. If the life-wind is not bound above, the downward-moving cleansing wind will not stop, and holding cannot be attained. The method of mixing the life-wind and downward-moving wind by binding the life-wind above is to pull the lower gate upwards fiercely, exhale a long HUM outwardly, and then mix the inner wind with the life-wind and downward-moving wind with a short HUM, pressing down on the secret place. Fiercely pull the secret wind upwards with HUM, turn the eyes, tongue, and navel upwards, press down fiercely with PHAT, and make the navel bulge outwards. After doing this several times, exhale the outer wind again with a long HUM. As it says in the 'Root Tantra': 'The yogi should do HUM PHAT.' This is the intended meaning. The key point here is that both lifting upwards with HUM and pressing down with PHAT should be done fiercely. Secondly, in the commentary on the 'Supreme Bliss Praise', he explained by quoting the 'Outer Compendium Tantra'. As it says there: 'In the 'Outer Compendium', the Bhagavan (Bhagavan) said: The nature of the five jewels is breath, blessed by the five Buddhas.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
