Showing inferiority due to clothing, and there are also cases of concealing qualities. There is also no difference between all sentient beings and the nature of the Buddha, and the Buddha has already taken them as his own. If these two can be achieved, then all the harmful dharmas that arise from relying on individuals, as mentioned in the Compendium of Trainings, will not occur. The third is that, towards any sentient being, if one engages in deception with the intention to deceive, and if it exceeds a certain time, whether the deception is successful or not, one will lose bodhicitta. The extent of the deception is like Yeshe Jung substituting inferior butter for superior butter, like the people of Toelung (Toelung Dechen County) making counterfeit goods, as everyone says. So do not engage in that level of deception, and you yourself will not become like that. If you are always thinking of your own benefit, even when offering tea, oil cakes, and sweet cakes, there is a danger of falling into lower realms due to deception. If there is no self-interest, and you kill solely for the benefit of sentient beings, not only will there be no sin, but you will also increase a lot of merit, which is good. The key to distinguishing between self-interest and benefiting others lies here. If you cannot cut off the conceptual thoughts of this life, it will be difficult to protect these four black dharmas. The antidote to this is to constantly cultivate the superior intention to benefit and bring happiness to all sentient beings without deception, or to say that the benefit is the happiness of the next life, or that the benefit is the happiness that transcends the world, or it is also said to be worldly happiness, meaning that the benefit is lasting happiness. The fourth is that, for virtuous deeds that others should not regret, if you do them with the intention of causing regret, whether regret arises or not, if it exceeds a certain time, you will lose bodhicitta. No matter what kind of virtuous deed it is, no matter in what way regret arises, there are many ways to cause regret. In particular, if you see a close relative making a very large offering of generosity, and you are unable to do so yourself, you become jealous and say: 'Being generous is good, but it's too tiring, I can't do it! I can't do it when I'm old! I can't do it when I'm sick!' etc., thereby causing them to regret. Wanting to become a monk, but being prevented by an uncle or monk, thereby causing regret for the precepts. For guarding vows and everything you do, you also say: 'I'm going to get sick tomorrow or the day after, I can't do it!' etc. In particular, for patience, regret will arise, because...

If there is a field, even a donkey thief will point fingers at the donkey owner. One hundred bad things, one thousand rotten things, cannot be dealt with by one. Water flows first and then flows later, the later flow is more. Arguments without response will become more and more. Banquets without taking will become less and less, it is said. When Geshe Chenpo Putowa was residing in Nyenpo, because he saw diligence and so on as similar merits, he said that he would not generate any regret at all. Not only that, if there is a diligent person or a meditator, because he has not completed a little work, it is said that this person will destroy the Dharma, destroy the dwelling, and destroy the temple. Some people, like facing a teacher, also generate regret because of jealousy. The root of wisdom is hearing, because good wishes are made, it is said that a rule is made not to go to listen to the Dharma. To counteract it, one should place the paths of the three lineages in maturation. Those who have not yet become vessels of liberation should also be placed on the cause of good rebirths. Ultimately, everything should be placed on the Great Vehicle alone, making it mature. For those who accept it for the time being, one should also follow with thought. For those who have entered virtue, one should be a friend, praise, rejoice, and so on. If this is done, those who have entered virtue and abide will not generate regret. At the time of generating Bodhicitta, because of vowing to liberate those who have not been liberated, etc., the activity of a Bodhisattva is only that. The act of knowing the path of Prajnaparamita is also said to be making sentient beings mature and liberated. Geshe Tompa, when small children offered some old flowers, he would say that we father and son should aspire to become Buddhas, and dedicate them in this way. Now, little by little, it is possible in any way. When tomorrow and the day after become very bad, it is said whether it will be possible to dedicate the root of virtue to becoming a Buddha. Like this, the cause of losing Bodhicitta, first of all, should not appear in body and speech. The latter four must appear in body and speech. After appearing there, if it exceeds the time limit, even if others do not notice, losing it will happen even if one does it secretly alone. If the antidote appears within the time limit, it is okay to confess later. If it is completed within that, it is very good. This is also what Geshe Chenpo Putowa used to say to everyone,
