In short, to summarize, killing will lead to a short life, harming others will bring many disasters, stealing will make possessions scarce, being a robber will be associated with enemies, lying will lead to slander, sowing discord will separate friends, harsh words will bring unpleasant sounds, irrelevant words will make speech undignified, greed will destroy hope in the heart, harmful thoughts are said to be giving fear, wrong views are themselves evil views, drinking alcohol will confuse the mind, taking what is not given will lead to poverty, making a living by improper means will be deceived, arrogance will lead to low birth, jealousy will lead to low prestige, anger will lead to an ugly appearance, not asking the wise is foolish behavior. As it is said, the experience matches the cause, the behavior matches the cause, and when doing these things, it is also because of previous habits, starting from liking to kill, to very much liking to hold wrong views, it is said that this is how it arises. The result of power is that wherever there is roughness in the vessel world, crops do not ripen, mud and dirt, and bad places, etc., all kinds of bad things will arise. In this way, the poverty of good causes and happy results is the separation fruit of non-virtuous karma, and the appearance of those things in visible phenomena is called the Puruṣakāra-phala, as Spilbuwa said. Believing in all of this, just as Sharawa said, once a definite feeling arises, one will constantly practice, and as mentioned before, through the four non-reasoning minds, even the smallest sins will not be let go, so that one can deeply believe in cause and effect. Before reaching that level, one must practice without懈怠. A little relaxation will lead to slackness. Practicing in this way, abandoning sins, as Sharawa also said, in the Letter to a Friend: "Constantly and manifestly clinging and without antidote, virtues are the main deeds arising from the base, good and non-good are five great, therefore, one should strive to practice virtue." As it is said, one must first abandon the great sins. Abandoning the great sins does not mean that the small sins can be let go. In the end, all the small sins must also be abandoned. If one always lets go of the small sins, then those small sins will become great sins because of always doing those things, etc. All the great sins we have now

It seems as if everything is gathered together. Even if everything else is not complete, if one always ignores a tiny fault, it is said to be great. We, by ignoring just one small fault, seem to be destined to be born in hell. Even if one is well-versed in the Vinaya and prays extensively, all the practices of the former elders are overturned, and we only focus on small faults. Every day, one will have twenty or thirty small faults. It does not seem to depend on a special object or always doing it. Even if it is done only once, if it is aroused by strong afflictions of attachment, aversion, and ignorance, it is called great because of strong attachment. Now is also the time when all afflictions will only arise in a strong way. Even if the other three conditions are not complete, all actions without remedies are said to be great. Even trying to suppress sins with the four powers is difficult. Even if everything else is not complete, all those who rely on the field of merit—the Three Jewels or special people such as Bodhisattvas, and the main field—parents, etc., and both—Khenpos and Acharyas, etc., are said to be great. It seems that we have nothing other than those objects of accumulating sins. In the field of merit, both good and bad become great, just like the difference in transformation spoken of in the sutras on generating the power of faith, etc., from the layperson to the Bodhisattva who travels by the miraculous power of the Tathagata. Just as the non-virtue is applied to this, so too is virtue applied to this. Even if one prostrates to a deity only once a day, if one always does so, it becomes great. All the virtues aroused by strong faith also become great. All the virtues that have not been suppressed by the remedy of sins also become great. All the virtues that rely on the aforementioned fields also become great. Similarly, contemplating karma and its results must also rely on the words of the Tathagata. Because the greatness of karma and its results is only known by the Omniscient One, others cannot know it, just like the story of the householder Palgye. That is, the reason why that householder, if he were to become a renunciate, would obtain the fruit in that lifetime is that the householder, countless eons ago, when he was born as a pig, ate the cubs in the trough.
