In sleep, strongly focus on the awareness of dreams. First, in the dream state, experience the five stages of the bardo: instantly contemplate the bodies of the deities as illusory. Then, focus the mind on the blazing and sharp fire in the heart. After that, focus the mind on the throat, strongly generating the intention of dreaming. This is seizing the dream. Then, in deep sleep, when dreams do not appear, wisdom arises. After that, when a dream occurs, thinking that it is a dream is dream awareness. Dream practice is: manifesting the dream into hundreds and thousands, then uniting them into one; contemplating going to the Thirty-three Heavens, and to hell, etc.; sometimes contemplating as light, sometimes contemplating as being cut into pieces, etc. That is practice. Then, contemplate the dream as luminosity, abiding in its very nature. Thus, there are five points. Also, in deep sleep, when there are no dreams, open wisdom. Then, dreams arise, then wake up, and when just remembering the dream, contemplate that the dream is illusory. Then, mix the dream with its nature, contemplate the dream as luminosity. Then, connect the boundary between dream and daytime: strongly generate the thought that the dream is illusory. Then practice during the day: first, focus the mind on half of the 'A' at the throat, seize the dream. Then, recognize that it is illusory, that it is a dream. Then, manifest one's body into hundreds and thousands, etc., practice the dream. Then, recognize that fear and terror are illusory. Then, mix the path with its nature, contemplate the dream as emptiness luminosity, which is contemplating its very nature. Connect the boundary between day and night: strongly generate the thought that this illusion is a dream. In meditative equipoise, it is luminosity; in post-meditation, it is the awareness of dreams and illusions. Then, when the awareness of day and night becomes the same, it is called continuous luminosity. As it is said: 'A yogi has no day and night.' When the inner and outer secret signs of death appear, contemplate earth dissolving into water, water dissolving into fire, fire dissolving into wind, as if arising from below. In the main practice of meditative equipoise, if the forty-two types of tummo are summarized, there are five: the tummo of the yogi, the tummo of wisdom, the tummo of action, the tummo of mahamudra, and the great tummo. The first has four: the key points of the body, the key points of the channels, the key points of the winds, and the key points of the mind. The tummo of wisdom is: suppressing the upper wind, raising the lower wind, etc. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It accords with the Karma Mudra. The specialty is focusing awareness on the emptiness of the space at the tip of the nose. The Tummo of Action is to focus the mind on the Karma Mudra that accords with one's own mind, and contemplate the hand seal and the 'A' (藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:无) at the navel as inseparable, and focus the mind on the 'A' (藏文:ཨ,梵文天城体:अ,梵文罗马拟音:a,汉语字面意思:无) at the navel and meditate. Focusing on the hand seal is for the purpose of gathering the mind. The Tummo of the Great Hand Seal is to suppress the upper and lower winds, and without focusing the mind on anything, recognize all dualistic appearances as non-dual, and then remain relaxed. There are sixteen aspects to the Great Tummo: four hidden aspects, which are hiding the body in the wheel of wisdom, hiding the channels in the wish-fulfilling tree, hiding the winds in the tip of the wish-fulfilling tree, and hiding the mind in the secret wheel, and so on. Four conditions, four signs, and four results, making sixteen in total. If fainting occurs, then let consciousness mingle with the wind and expel it from the lower gate with Marla (དཀར་རྒྱངས). If the wind becomes stagnant, causing muscle tremors, etc., then expel it with the Lion Liberation Hand Seal. If one falls into a state of pure non-thought, then employ the technique of forcibly inducing bliss, slightly raising the upper wind and performing the opening and closing of the lotus. When closing, visualize the fire as red, flickering and rising upwards. When opening, visualize the Bodhicitta dripping down like a thread, and the red fire flickering away. One can also perform the union of the thumb and forefinger. When learning the Karma Mudra, seek out a woman of good lineage and a mantra-born woman, etc., and choose a secluded place. Perform the union of minds, consume the three whites (milk, butter, yogurt), perform body offerings, etc., first observing the form and generating bliss, then meditate on it. If bliss does not arise in this way, then speak words of desire, and meditate on bliss based on sound. If bliss does not arise in this way, then apply fragrant scents to the body and generate bliss by smelling it. If bliss does not arise in this way, then learn to meditate on bliss based on taste through kissing and caressing, etc. Learn these. If bliss does not arise in this way, then learn based on touch, with the four perceptions, bless the Vajra Padma, and first lower, hold, turn, and reverse. This is the fierce channel wind. If one falls completely into a state of bliss, then employ the visualization of forcibly inducing non-thought. The upper and lower winds are in harmony. Focus the mind on any object in front and meditate. Then focus on space. If neither bliss nor emptiness arises, then forcibly induce both bliss and emptiness, go to the top of a high mountain, focus awareness on space, and perform the opening and closing of the lotus in conjunction with raising and suppressing the wind. If one falls completely into darkness 1-17-6a If one falls completely into darkness --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
