问:业之风(karma wind)未显现,念头如幻(thoughts are like illusions),五境(five sense objects)等一切显现,是否在心之外?

Q: When the winds of karma are unmanifested, and thoughts are like illusions, and all appearances such as the five sense objects are not separate from the mind, is it the case that in both samahita (meditative equipoise) and post-meditation, everything is of one mind? A: That is exactly so. Everything is mind; everything is mindness at all times. The arising of thoughts is the inseparability of self-awareness and emptiness. The arising of thoughts is a stain or habitual tendency of the mind. Self-arising, self-manifesting, self-liberating. At all times, there is nothing to do but not to be distracted from the nature of mind. Once one is accustomed, there is no need to prevent distraction with mindfulness. When the winds of karma are purified from being unmanifested, and the winds of wisdom arise naturally, then thoughts will not have the stain of habitual tendencies, the mind will not be distracted, there is no need to rely on mindfulness, and there is no need to prevent distraction. Q: During sleep there is non-thought, and awareness abides in a latent state. Is this samahita? During dreams there is awareness, but it abides without thought. Does awareness have non-thought as its inherent nature? Does one enter the river-flow yoga? If not, during sleep is it necessary to meditate on the Clear Light (Od-gsal, Tibetan), and during dreams is it necessary to meditate on the illusory body (Sgyu-lus, Tibetan)? A: During sleep, awareness is not in a latent state. Awareness is clear and vivid, but because non-thought is too dense, it is not perceived. There is no need to meditate on the Clear Light and the illusory body. During sleep and dreams, it is sufficient that the Clear Light is naturally present. After waking up, when one looks back at the state that was not grasped by mindfulness, and one is convinced that it was also inseparable from the Clear Light, this is the river-flow. Q: Is it necessary to seek the instructions on the Bardo (intermediate state)? A: What is the use of the Bardo? Meditate on the Clear Light now and at the time of death, there is no need to meditate on the Bardo separately. The Clear Light is present at all times, so one will not see the Bardo. For example, if the enemy will not come, there is no need for precautions and escorts. Q: When focusing on an object, which is better: to shift from one object to another, focusing on the new object, or to return to the original object? A: The two are the same. Just like the mind and the light of mind, it is most important to meditate without distraction, so that the mind and the light of mind are never distracted at all times. Now you do not need to ask the lama, all the doubts of your own awareness will be cleared. There is no need to ask, have firm conviction and practice! I will always be with you, never separated. Q: Do I now have any outstanding teachings or unfulfilled instructions that I can request? A: Now there are no outstanding or unoutstanding teachings, and there are no unfulfilled instructions. Buddha has nothing. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Therefore, look at your own experience. Is my existence or non-existence held by your mind? The blessing is very great. All the Kagyu lamas and all the dakinis will follow you as you practice, giving blessings. You will have no obstacles, and everything will be accomplished. Meditate on your own mind, which is as precious as a jewel and unwavering.' This is the question and answer to the Lama Rinpoche about recognizing the essence of self, which can eliminate all obstacles in practice and realization, and is complete. May those with karma hear this and generate faith, and may realization arise. This instruction should be kept secret from those without fortune and with wrong views. There is nothing permanent in the inner and outer worlds. King of mindfulness, do not be distracted, practice the view. Strive to be unmoved by various conditions. Do not seek anything other than the uninterrupted stream of mindfulness. Because this is the essence of the Buddhas of the past, present, and future. Accomplish self-benefit, and naturally accomplish the benefit of others. Ema, how wonderful, look at your own mind. Seeing the mind is liberation, it is the treasure of the Buddhas of the past, present, and future. This is the question and answer of Je Gampopa and Je Gomtsul. Langben Dharmakuma wrote it at Ritrö Monastery. In general, practicing requires sacrificing food, clothing, and shelter. The great son of Dapo Gomtsul, the venerable Pagom, said: In general, practicing requires sacrificing food, clothing, and shelter, and one must be able to endure hardship. One must place hope in poverty and abandon one's desires. If one cannot harmonize with the pleasures of this life and worldly thoughts, and there is nothing to do other than benefit sentient beings, then what is the benefit? Do not place hope in ease and enjoyment, it will not work.' For the appearance and mind without attachment. May I not be separated from the illusory mind. For the Lord who introduces the three bodies (Trikaya). May I not be separated from the mind of devotion and reverence. For the self-nature, unborn, clear light. May I not be separated from the mind of naked seeing. For the spontaneously arising activity without cessation. May I not be separated from the experience of the Dharma nature. So said the teacher Dapo Gomtsul. Homage to the realized lamas. Yogis who wish to realize Mahamudra! Settle the mind in a state as immovable as the ocean. Settle the clear and selfless mind in a state like the sky. Settle the experience in a state like the wind in space, without obstruction. Because samsara and nirvana are inseparable, settle in the state of Dharma nature. The nature of the three times, past, present, and future, is the Dharmakaya. Please know that mind is innate wisdom. Do not let conceptual thoughts disturb the Dharma nature. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
