In order to avoid obstacles and harm, offer Torma to the Dharma protectors, and pray to the Dakini Dharma protectors and the Lama (Guru) Three Jewels. Reciting the essence mantra frequently will prevent obstacles. There are only four generations of lineage from the Buddha to us. Those Dakini Dharma protectors of the lineages, whoever practices them, will follow closely like a dog, so there will be no obstacles for students in practice. On the basis of practicing the essence, even the gods will not descend, and demons and the like cannot invade. Even if emptiness knows that gods and demons can practice, and knows various emanations, they have never realized the essence, are not good at practicing the essence, and the essence will not become the realm of gods and demons, so practicing the essence is the best. When asked about the difference between the gentle wind and the strong wind in Tummo (fierce heat), the answer was: 'There is only a difference in the intensity of the wind, the goal is the same. Whether visualizing the 'ཡི་གེ་' (Tibetan, Devanagari Sanskrit:, Romanized Sanskrit:, Literal meaning:) or a fire pit is fine. In both cases, not controlling the lower wind is the tradition of Lama Milarepa. If one can skillfully control the wind, one can slightly control the lower wind. The clear light Tummo is very important.' When asked 'Does practicing the essence bring common Siddhi (accomplishments)?', the answer was: 'It is said that it does.' Usually, practicing Tummo brings common Siddhi, but compared to the essence, focusing on tangible things is easier to obtain common Siddhi, but it does not bring Buddhahood. When asked 'How can one become like a meditator who does not need food?', the answer was: 'Lama Milarepa was entertained by Dakinis at dusk, and did not need to eat, only vomited.' Focusing on tangible things, with one-pointed concentration, may not require food, but this will not bring the fruit of Buddhahood, because the essence is non-existent. When asked 'Does practicing the essence have any experiences?', the answer was: 'If there are experiences, it will generate pride and attachment. One will completely abandon attachment to the world, will unnecessarily cling to the superficial forms of other teachings, and will naturally generate confidence and joy. Practicing the essence will bring experiences and realizations.' When asked 'In the Bardo (intermediate state), when death occurs and the body and consciousness separate, will the essence merge into the Dharmakaya (Body of Truth)? Or will consciousness go to Akanishta (Highest Pure Land)?', the answer was: 'Consciousness does not go anywhere, there is no Akanishta beyond Samsara. Here, the Dharmakaya beyond thought is called Akanishta. Consciousness has no coming and going, and the essence has no coming and going. The essence has no Samatha (calm abiding) and Vipassana (insight).' When asked 'Are thoughts the mind or do they arise from the mind? If they are the mind, then various thoughts also merge into the essence; if they arise from the mind, then thoughts...'
