Eight Roots. (་རྩ་བརྒྱད༔) All the arrogant hosts of appearance and existence, please listen! (སྣང་སྲིད་དྲེགས་པའི་སྡེ་ཚོགས་ཐམས་ཅད་དགོངས་སུ་གསོལ༔) In the past, the great glorious one, (སྔོན་ཚེ་སྤྱི་དཔལ་ཆེན་པོ༔) the secret lord Vajrapani. (གསང་བདག་ཕྱག་ན་རྡོ་རྗེ༔) I summon you, establishing as witness the command and sacred oath of the holy lamas of the lineage of vidyadharas, such as Guru Padmakara-totreng! (སློབ་དཔོན་པདྨ་ཐོད་ཕྲེང་ལ་སོགས་པའི་རིག་འཛིན་བརྒྱུད་པའི་བླ་མ་དམ་པ་རྣམས་ཀྱི་བཀའ་དང་དམ་ཚིག་གཉན་པོ་དཔང་དུ་བཙུག་ནས་འབོད་དོ༔) Without transgressing the sacred oath, please come to this place of practice and reliance! (དམ་ཚིག་གཉན་ལ་མ་འདའ་བར་བསྒྲུབཅིང་བརྟེན་པའི་གནས་འདིར་གཤེགས་ཤིག༔ བྱོན་ཅིག༔) Vajra samaya dza dza (བཛྲ་ས་མ་ཡ་ཛ་ཛཿ, Diamond Samaya Come Come), pe pe! (ཕེ་ཕེཾ༔) Recite three times. Finally, the invocation is: (ལན་གསུམ་བརྗོད༔ མཐར་སྤྱན་འདྲེན་པ་ནི༔) Ma! (མ༔) With faith and sacred oath, (དད་པ་དང་ནི་དམ་ཚིག་གིས༔) great Rahula, (གཟའ་བདུད་ཆེན ཐོ།༔) please come! (པོ་གཤེགས་སུ་གསོལ༔) Four sister-faced mothers, please come! (གདོང་མོ་མཆེད་བཞི་གཤེགས་སུ་གསོལ༔) Emanated eight planets, please come! (སྤྲུལ་པའི་གཟའ་བརྒྱད་གཤེགས་སུ་གསོལ༔) Twenty-eight constellations, please come! (རྒྱུ་སྐར་ཉེར་བརྒྱད་གཤེགས་སུ་གསོལ༔) Gods, demons, and eight classes, please come! (ལྷ་སྲིན་སྡེ་བརྒྱད་གཤེགས་སུ་གསོལ༔) In the first of the previous kalpas, (སྔོན་གྱི་བསྐལ་པའི་དང་པོ་ལ༔) by the secret lord Vajrapani, (གསང་བདག་ཕྱག་ན་རྡོ་རྗེ་ཡིས༔) bound by oath, commanded, and empowered, (དམ་བཏགས་བཀའ་བསྒོས་དབང་བསྐུར་བའི༔) by that sacred oath, I summon you! (དམ་ཚིག་གཉན པོ་དེ་ཡིས་འབོད༔) In the middle, in the noble land of India, (བར་དུ་རྒྱ་གར་འཕགས་ཡུལ་དུ༔) of the Bhagavan Shakyamuni, (བཅོམ་ལྡན་ཤཱཀྱ་ཐུབ་པ་ཡི༔) the great obedient one, Rahula, (བཀའ་ཉན་ཆེན་པོ་རཱ་ཧུ་ལ༔) by that sacred oath, I summon you! (དམ་ཚིག་གཉན་པོ་དེ་ཡིས་འབོད༔) Finally, in the snowy land of Tibet, (ཐ་མ་གངས་ཅན་བོད་ཡུལ་དུ༔) by Guru Padmakara-totreng, (སློབ་དཔོན་པདྨ་ཐོད་ཕྲེང་གིས༔) commanded, bound by oath, and empowered, (བཀའ་བསྒོས་དམ་བཏགས་དབང་བསྐུར་བའི༔) by that sacred word, I summon you! (ཐ་ཚིག་གཉན་པོ་དེ་ཡིས་འབོད༔) In an instant, please come! (སྐད་ཅིག་ཉིད་དུ་གཤེགས་སུ་གསོལ༔) Show a joyful face and signs of accomplishment! (དགྱེས་པའི་ཞལ་དང་སྒྲུབ རྟགས་སྟོན༔) Always accomplish vast activities! (ཕྲིན་ལས་རབ་འབྱམས་རྟག་ཏུ་སྒྲུབ༔) Om Rahula Hum Pem Vajra Samaya Dza Dza (ཨོཾ་རཱ་ཧུ་ལ་ཧཱུྃ་ཕེཾ་བཛྲ་ས་མ་ཡ་ཛ་ཛཿ). Then, the request to be seated is: (དེ་ནས་བཞུགས་སུ་གསོལ་བ་ནི༔) Ma! (མ༔) Black Rahula with your retinue, (གཟའ་བདུད་ནག་པོ་འཁོར་དང་བཅས༔) in this support of life, (སྲོག་གི་རྟེན འདིར་གཏན་བཞུགས་ནས༔) having permanently resided here, protect the doctrine and the holders of the doctrine, (བསྟན་དང་བསྟན་འཛིན་སྡེ་སྐྱོངས་ལ༔) accomplish all my activities! (བདག་གི་ཕྲིན་ལས་ཡོངས་སྒྲུབས་ཤིག༔) Vajra samaya tishta lhan (བཛྲ་ས་མ་ཡ་ཏིཥྛ་ལྷན༔). Then, the prostration is: (དེ་ནས་ཕྱག་འཚལ་བ་ནི༔) Hum! (ཧཱུྃ༔) Secret lord Vajrapani and (གསང་བདག་ཕྱག་ ན་རྡོ་རྗེ་དང་༔) Guru Padmakara-totreng, (སློབ་དཔོན་པདྨ་ཐོད་ཕྲེང་གིས༔) to the obedient Rahula king, (བཀའ་ཉན་གཟའ་བདུད་རྒྱལ་པོ་ལ༔) I prostrate for the sake of protecting the doctrine! (བསྟན་པ་བསྲུང་ཕྱིར་ཕྱག་འཚལ་ལོ༔) Namo samaya (ན་མོ་ས་མ་ཡ༔). Then, the offering is: (དེ་ནས་མཆོད་པ་འབུལ་བ་ནི༔) Hum! (ཧཱུྃ༔) To the black Rahula with your retinue, (གཟའ་བདུད་ནག་པོ་འཁོར་བཅས་ལ༔) I offer the seven uses and five desirable qualities, (ཉེར་སྤྱོད་བདུན་དང་འདོད་ཡོན་ལྔ༔) medicine, torma, and rakta offerings. (སྨན་གཏོར་རཀྟའི་མཆོད་པ་འབུལ༔) Silk, tiger and leopard skins, weapons, and (དར་ཟབ་སྟག་གཟིག་གོ་མཚོན་དང་༔) forms, wealth, and various (གཟུགས་འགྲོས་དཀོར་ནོར་སྣ་ཚོགས་དང་༔) supports, practice substances, fulfillment substances, and (བརྟེན་རྫས་སྒྲུབ་རྫས་བསྐང་རྫས་དང་༔) grains, medicines, and types of flowers, (འབྲུ་སྣ་སྨན་སྣ་མེ་ཏོག་རིགས༔) meats, hearts, ram livers, and so on, (ཤ་སྣ་སྙིང་སྣ་ར་མཆིན་སོགས༔) various harmonious samaya substances, (མཐུན་པའི་དམ་ཚིག་སྣ་ཚོགས་པ༔) I offer desirable qualities to the treasury of space! (འདོད་ཡོན་ནམ་མཁའ་མཛོད་དུ་འབུལ༔) Please be a friend inseparable for an instant, (སྐད་ཅིག་མི་འབྲལ་གྲོགས་མཛོད་ལ༔) accomplish all desired activities! (འདོད་དོན་ཕྲིན་ལས་ཡོངས་གྲུབ་མཛོད༔) Om Vajra Argham Padyam, etc. Shabda Rupa, etc. Sparsha Sarva Pancha Amrita Rakta Balingta Maham (ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཨརྒྷཾ་པཱདྱཾ་སོགས ཤཔྡ་རཱུ་པ་སོགས་སྤཪྴ་སརྦ་པཉྩ་ཨ་མྲྀ་ཏ་རཀྟ་བ་ལིང་ཏ་མ་ཧཱ་མ).

Oṃ sa rakta citta sarva pūja hoḥ. Then the praise is: Ma! The powerful curse of the ascetic, The great power accomplished in action, Exercising dominion over the lives of beings, The guardian of the great secret teachings. Praise to you, master of power and strength! Upper body, the father's form of anger, Lower body, the mother's form of desire, Riding on the wind of clinging ignorance, Praise to you, the poisonous razor! Zoṃ! From the center of the vast sky, The king who turns the wheel of the three realms, Enjoying great bliss with four faces, The emanated eight planets filling the world, Dispatching the eight classes of gods and demons as messengers, Employing the twenty-eight constellations as servants, Gathering gods and spirits of existence as subjects, Praise to you, the great pervader! May you be an inseparable friend to us yogis and retinue, Grant the fierce action of manifest use to the enemies held in mind! Entrust the entrusted task, samaya! Samaya! Then the recitation is: In front of oneself, visualized as the deity, visualize the black Rahula with his retinue, and at their hearts, visualize the subtle life-syllables of their respective families, surrounded by one's own mantra. Imagine that from the Hūṃ at the heart of oneself as the wrathful Heruka, immeasurable rays of light emanate, transforming the life essence of Rahula and his retinue into black Raḥ. All their secret mantras, knowledge mantras, and heart mantras become the mantra "Oṃ Nāga Rakṣa Rāhula Hūṃ Jaḥ," and by merely reciting this mantra, one attains the life of the fierce samaya, and contemplates that they listen to the command to be sent. Oṃ Nāga Rakṣa Rāhula Hūṃ Jaḥ. Recite as much as possible. Again, from the Hūṃ at the heart of oneself as the wrathful one, immeasurable rays of light emanate, gathering all the life-essences of samsara and nirvana, and dissolving them into the heart of the black Rahula, thereby controlling the intellect, mind, and consciousness of the three realms and three existences, and gathering them under one's own dominion. And, contemplate that all external, internal, and secret enemies, obstacles, and harm-doers, even if they are gods, have the power to be reduced to dust. Oṃ Nāga Rakṣa Rāhula Hūṃ Jaḥ. After reciting: From the Hūṃ at the heart of oneself as the wrathful one, rays of light emanate, and the life of the black Rahula and his retinue merges with the mantra, thereby obtaining the life of the fierce samaya, and contemplate that they are controlled as messengers of activity.
