Even if killing, kill the afflictions, the grasping and clinging, and the habitual tendencies. Kill in the play of the illusory nature of reality. Settle into the unmade expanse of the dharmadhatu. Burn the seeds of the cause of delusion and samsara. Killing awakens and knowledge increases. For example, from the appearance of a dream, Kill as if waking up and like daylight, the deities and pure lands are naturally perfected. That is the greatest of killings. Samaya! Then, holding the phurba in hand, Om Hum Svaha Ah Hum! On the moon disc of the right hand, contemplate the five fingers as the five heroic fathers, Mum Lam Mam Pa Tam! On the sun disc of the left hand, generate the fingers as the five heroic mothers. From the union of the five buddha-family fathers and mothers, The seed syllable Hrīḥ arises from the bodhicitta. The red syllable shines intensely and radiates light upwards, pleasing all the Buddhas.
