This practice, by a person endowed with the essential points of the generation stage, in an extremely secluded and pure sacred place, when practicing the Black Hayagriva, relies on the manner of a king and his ministers. There, on the summit of the great Mount Meru, arrange the five branches of the wish-fulfilling tree, and place the five kinds of wisdom garudas. Display offerings, objects of enjoyment, desirable qualities, and various kinds of Naga treasures as appropriate. Arrange various kinds of ganachakra feasts, such as meat, blood, and torma. With the pride of being wrathful oneself, transform all phenomena of grasping and clinging, and dualistic appearances into emptiness. Om Maha Shunyata, etc. (藏文：ཨོཾ་མ་ཧཱ་ཤུ་ནྱ་ཏཱ་སོགས།，梵文天城体：ॐ महाशून्यता，梵文罗马拟音：oṃ mahāśūnyatā，汉语字面意思：嗡，大空性等). Laro! Who am I? From within emptiness, visualize oneself as the Bhagavan Black Hayagriva. In front of him, in the depths of a vast and profound sea of poison, a great wish-fulfilling tree with five branches extending in the four directions and the center, on seats of lotus and sun, from the heart of oneself as a wrathful deity, five Khro syllables emanate and descend. Rays of light radiate upwards, offering to all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the three times. All empowerments, blessings, and accomplishments are gathered back and dissolve into the Khro syllable. Radiating downwards, they utterly destroy all enemies, obstacles, evil spirits, Nagas, and malevolent beings. From the central Khro syllable manifests the dark blue wisdom Garuda, the enemy of the Naga race, the fire of Dharmadhatu wisdom blazing in dark blue. From the eastern Khro syllable manifests the white conch Garuda, the enemy of the Naga race, the fire of mirror-like wisdom blazing. From the southern Khro syllable manifests the yellow golden Garuda, the enemy of the Naga race, the fire of equality wisdom blazing. From the western Khro syllable manifests the red copper Garuda, the enemy of the Naga race, the fire of discriminating wisdom blazing. From the northern Khro syllable manifests the black poison Garuda, the enemy of the Naga race, the fire of accomplishing wisdom blazing. All have two horns of meteoric iron soaring into the sky. Their three eyes blaze and radiate the light of a billion suns. Their wrathful frowns are dense like ripples on water. With iron claws, they drag the five kinds of Naga and malevolent spirits from the depths of the ocean, and with beaks of meteoric iron, they devour their heads into tiny pieces. Just uttering the fierce sound of "Tri". JOṂ! With the sound (of Kri), all the earth lords, nagas, and evil spirits faint and vomit; the "tsa tsa" sound of the Garuda spreads throughout the entire world, and all the eight classes in the ten directions, like drops of water swallowed in one gulp, gasp "Hab Hab"; with its feet suppressing all the planets, nagas, and eight classes, and between its horns, the wish-fulfilling jewel, the king of power, pours down a great rain of accomplishments upon the practitioner; the storm of various weapons and poisonous substances sweeps through, turning all curses and harm-doers into dust; the Dharma protectors and arrogant hosts emanated from the heart, as vast as the edge of the sky, reduce all enemies of the teachings and their retinues to ashes and devour them, visualize in this way. On the crown of the head, visualized clearly in this way, is a white OṂ (Tibetan: ཨོཾ, Devanagari: ओ, Romanized Sanskrit: oṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 嗡); in the throat is a red ĀḤ (Tibetan: ཨཱཿ, Devanagari: आ, Romanized Sanskrit: āḥ, Literal Chinese meaning: 阿); in the heart is a blue HŪṂ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: 吽). From these three, immeasurable rays of light emanate, arousing the samaya of all the Buddhas and their retinues in the ten directions. From the Dharmadhatu, manifesting the form body as the five families of Garuda, the deities generated are gently absorbed. Then comes the invocation: HŪṂ! The wisdom body of the Dharmadhatu, the mandala deity of the Buddha family, please manifest as the Buddha Garuda form! To subdue ignorance, please descend! The mirror-like wisdom body, the mandala deity of the Vajra family, please manifest as the Vajra Garuda form! To subdue hatred, please descend! The wisdom body of equality, the mandala deity of the Ratna family, please manifest as the Jewel Garuda form! To subdue pride, please descend! The discriminating wisdom body, the mandala deity of the Padma family, please manifest as the Speech Great Garuda form! To subdue desire, please descend! The accomplishing wisdom body, the mandala deity of the Karma family, please manifest as the Action Great Garuda form! To destroy jealousy, please descend! Buddha, Vajra, Ratna, Padma, Karma, Krodha! Garuda, Sarva Vajra, Samaya Ja Ja! Then comes the request to abide: HŪṂ! On the throne of the naga demon, the poison of self-grasping, in the indivisibility of samaya wisdom, please abide, terrifying Garuda! Please abide, the five Garuda who subdue demons! Vajra Samaya Tishta Lhan! Then comes the prostration: Namo! To the destroyer of the self-view Rakshasa, and the six roots.
