Unequaled Lord! This life's appearance is just a dreamlike moment; remember impermanence and death from the heart. I pray to the Precious Guru! Please bless me, Lord of unequaled kindness! The three realms of samsara are of the nature of suffering; may I sever attachment and clinging from the root. I pray to the Precious Guru! Please bless me, Lord of unequaled kindness! The ripening of good and bad karma is infallible; may I be skilled in what to adopt and abandon, and possess proper conduct. I pray to the Precious Guru! Please bless me, Lord of unequaled kindness! Then, taking refuge: Namo! I and limitless parents, beings equal to space, until the essence of enlightenment, take refuge in the Guru, the Three Jewels. Never separate for a moment, hold me with compassion. Then, generating the mind of enlightenment: May the Protector and his retinue consider me! With the four immeasurables, I take on the task of benefiting beings; holding the mind of enlightenment, I will train in the six perfections; may I attain the glory of spontaneously accomplishing the two benefits! Then, meditating and reciting Vajrasattva: On a lotus and moon cushion on the crown of my head, Guru Vajrasattva, the color of crystal, peaceful and smiling, in the vajra posture, blazing with the splendor of marks and signs, complete with the attire of the enjoyment body, holding a vajra and bell in a crossed manner, from the union with the pleasing consort, a stream of nectar descends, purifying sickness, evil spirits, and obscurations.
