That the arising of birth is shown as an antidote to perceiving what is not true as true is taught in the Sutra of the Holy Thus-Gone-One Showing the Arising of Birth. The Bodhisattva Mahasattva Samantabhadra, focusing on the glory of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva arising in the lineage of the Thus-Gone-One, spoke to all the assemblies of Bodhisattvas: "O sons of the Victorious Ones, it is like this: The place where the Thus-Gone-Ones, the Arhats, the Perfectly Complete Buddhas show the arising of birth is inconceivable, having arisen from immeasurable dharmas. The arising of birth of the Thus-Gone-Ones is not from one cause. Why is that? O sons of the Victorious Ones, the Thus-Gone-Ones arise from causes that correctly accomplish the manner of completely perfecting hundreds, thousands, immeasurable, and countless different dharmas, such as the ten dharmas. What are the ten? It is like this: In the past, immeasurable bodhicitta, the generation of the mind to completely protect all beings, is a cause that correctly accomplishes; in the past, immeasurable intention and superior intention, extremely tamed, is a cause that correctly accomplishes; completely protecting all beings with immeasurable great love and great compassion is a cause that correctly accomplishes; immeasurable conduct and aspirations, unceasing, is a cause that correctly accomplishes; the accumulation of immeasurable merit and wisdom, without knowing satisfaction, is a cause that correctly accomplishes; offering and serving the Buddhas and the arrangement to completely ripen sentient beings with immeasurable [means] is a cause that correctly accomplishes; the path of immeasurable means and wisdom, extremely completely tamed, is a cause that correctly accomplishes; the completely pure arrangement of qualities, immeasurable aspects, is a cause that correctly accomplishes; the knowledge of establishing immeasurable limbs of the path is a cause that correctly accomplishes; and the knowledge of necessarily realizing the meaning and dharma to be understood is a cause that correctly accomplishes. O sons of the Victorious Ones, the Thus-Gone-Ones are from those ten dharmas and other different dharmas.

It should be observed as it is said, that it arises from the causes that perfectly accomplish the immeasurable and countless. The so-called "like the formation of the world" refers to the arising of the Tathāgatas, which is illustrated by ten ways of entering as being like the formation of the world. That is, as it is said in the Sutra of the Holy One, the Manifestation of the Arising of the Tathāgata: "O sons of the royal lineage, for example, the formation of the three thousand great thousand worlds does not arise from a single cause, nor does it arise from a single agent, but from immeasurable causes, immeasurable agents, and immeasurable perfect accomplishments. The beings belonging to the three thousand great thousand worlds have done and accumulated karma together, and the Bodhisattvas have generated the power of the roots of virtue, and the blessings and Dharma nature of the Tathāgatas have been obtained. For example, the great clouds do not transgress the time of rain, and the rain falls well, which also depends on this. The four great wind circles rise continuously, which also depends on this. What are the four? That is, the so-called 'wind circle completely holding', which rises in order to prevent the accumulation of water from scattering outwards; the so-called 'wind circle completely drying up', which rises in order to completely dry up the internal accumulation of water; the so-called 'wind circle completely regretting', which rises in order to make all the immeasurable palaces completely regret; the so-called 'wind circle splitting', which rises in order to make all the arrangements completely split and completely separate. Such immeasurable causes

This arises from that. For example, the Tathagatas of the past, by the rain of the great cloud of Dharma falling perfectly and abundantly, also rely on the true joy of unknowable thought. Also, it depends on the continuous arising of the four great circles of the wind of the Tathagata's wisdom. What are the four? That is to say: the great circle of the wind of the Tathagata's wisdom, which is called not wasting, without distraction, by truly holding and protecting with mindfulness, arises for the sake of truly receiving the great cloud of rain of all the Tathagatas; the great circle of the wind of the Tathagata's wisdom, which is called the perfect accomplishment of tranquility and insight, arises for the sake of completely drying up all afflictions; the great circle of the wind of the Tathagata's wisdom, which is skilled in dedicating, arises for the sake of completely dedicating all roots of virtue; the great circle of the wind of the Tathagata's wisdom, which is called the arrangement of manifest accomplishment of transformation, which is extremely distinct and discriminating, arises for the sake of completely purifying the co-born roots of virtue of sentient beings who have been completely matured in the past, and for the sake of generating the power of the Tathagata's uncontaminated roots of virtue. These and other countless causes and countless conditions, and arising from the attainment of Dharma-nature, although there is no one who causes it to arise, there is also one who arises. O sons of the Victorious Ones, the Bodhisattva The great Bodhisattva, with the first gate of entry, should understand the arising of the birth of the Tathagatas, the Arhats, the perfectly complete Buddhas. The ten kinds of entry gates that have been spoken of, such as these, should be observed. What kind of accomplishment does the emanation body possess? Therefore, the arising of the characteristics of the emanation body should be regarded as the characteristics of the arising of the adornment of the qualities of the Tathagata, blessed by all aspects of adornment, as it is said. That is, all the adornments of the qualities of the Tathagata.
