Like this, if blood comes from the mouth and nose in the upper body, then it is easy to treat, because the upper body is of a phlegm nature, therefore, for such a situation, washing with purgative medicine will be beneficial. Or, there are many medicinal treatments that are beneficial for bile diseases, but for bile diseases, there is no better treatment than washing with purgative medicine. Like this, after washing the bile disease with purgative medicine, whatever phlegm disease accompanies the bile disease will also be cleared. After the phlegm disease is cleared, it is not harmful to take medicines and foods with astringent and sweet tastes, it is beneficial like treating bile and blood diseases. Medicines and foods with bitter and astringent tastes, needless to say, because they can treat both bile and blood diseases, and also treat phlegm diseases, so they are beneficial. Neither emetic medicine nor purgative medicine can clear the bile disease from the phlegm and wind diseases. Likewise, there is no possibility of surviving this disease. Like this, when bile and blood diseases are excessive, and all the diseases of wind and phlegm are mixed together, for such a situation, it is beneficial to take treatments that pacify all diseases.
